Thursday What's Happening?

 Good Morning Everyone,
Well, the blessings just continue.  My sis-in-law brought supper over last night, and we visited for a few hours.  The food was healthy and yummy.  Having company was a blessing.  She knitted and I finished the fourth scarf for Special Olympics.  Yippee!

I never made it to the eye exam yesterday, because the paperwork I thought was the vision insurance wasn't.   I need to find that, or get it replaced.

Today, I need to start a new project with yarn.  If I had the right crochet hook, I could finish a baby blanket I started years ago.  Unfortunately, I can't find the one I was using on it.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Hugs,
Trish

Trish, I have to leave for work in about an hour so this will be quick. I love being able to pay forward a kindness that someone has shown me. Your friends realize how could it feels inside to help someone out a bit. I'm sure you'll do the same for someone else when you're feeling better. Maybe your mom has not exerienced that feeling. Too bad, because it is one of the joy of life.

Sounds like you're starting to feel better. About that crochet hook; maybe a friend has the right size and you can borrow it. Have a great day.

I'm subbing in a self containe life skills classroom through next week. One of the aides lost her mother (age 66!) to cancer. Yikes, I'm almost 63. Anyway, She's taking the week off and I love working n that room so I told her to just do what she needs to do.

Having a bowl of Scottish oats, packing lunch, putting on a smile, my jeans, and a good attitude!

Good morning Trish and everyone.....

I finally had a good nights sleep last night. I am so glad as I needed it so badly.

Today I need to run a few errands. It will be nice to get out of the house. I haven't been out since Saturday!!

Trish.... I am glad you are doing a bit better every day!!

Karen.....you are a very caring and giving person. Paying it forward is so important and you do it well!

Wishing you all a really great day. I will check in again later.
Prayers for many in need.

Love and hugs to all....connie d

Good mornin', ya'll.
Well our son got here for lunch at 9:30. He goes to work at 4 AM, so he is ready for lunch by now. Not sure if he will be able to get in a little nap, since the housekeepers are here also. He works from 4 AM to 4 PM, with a 2 hour lunch/nap break at our house each day!
Today's GMA deals and steals! one of the deals was from Thirty One. I love their big totes for organizing my yarn. Usually $30, GMA special only $15! They also had a company with wing sauce, and another with Super Bowl snacks. I love all the GMA deals.
Looks like more rain here today. My backyard still hasn't dried out from the last 3 days of rain! But, at least it isn't snow, and our temps are in the 60's. So why do I gripe?
Today I plan on finishing a blue and white baby afghan I put on hold when I did the 2 afghans for our grandson and his girlfriend. I have so many crochet hooks I could supply the entire neighborhood! I keep them all in toothbrush holders. But now I bought a couple of pencil cases from Thirty One, they each have a complete set of hooks and I keep one in each of my Thirty One crochet bags. Theoretically, I should never have to search for a hook again! RIGHT! Sounds good though, huh.
Gotta go. Housekeepers are in the kitchen and I haven't had my breakfast yet. So I'll go do something else til they move to another room. I love being able to have a housekeeper!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

I was up early yesterday and running around ... thought I had an appointment to get my car fixed but it's today. It was pouring rain and chilly ... and today's gloomy and looks like rain, so of course my back hurts. I was asleep by 11 p.m. so up early today. I did get a couple of boxes unpacked.

Bought new corn based litter for Juliette ... she seemed better yesterday, she was sitting on my lap (she never does that) and slept with me last night. I hope she's over the worst of it. I heard her in the litter box, so I know she used it. The corn litter is more expensive, of course, but she's only one cat, so she's worth it.

Went into Target for a couple of things and came out with $115 worth ... two lampshades, two towels (still haven't found my towels), some Starbucks KCups (got a $5 giftcard for it), a little bit of food, bleach, a bathmat ... funny how quickly it adds up. I had a $5 gift card from the last time they had a special.

Well, I gotta get dressed. Have a good day.

Hi OFF,
I'm feeling better today after three days of quite the virus... I'm at school, but only to do what I have to do... some things can't wait. I'm not seeing any kids until this virus is less wet. I have a meeting after school. I might go (or not- we'll see), but either way the paperwork must be done. That is my task in a few minutes.
My brain is fog- hmmm... I'll just say "Happy Thursday!"

I am sitting here with my mentally retarded cat sitting right next to me with her rear end on my leg and my little tortoise shell on my chest, and the little puppy is in the crook of my arm.  I have never felt so loved or warm.  I hope you all have a goo evening.
