What's Up on Saturday?

 Good Morning All,
I am home finally, and I am so grateful to be here.  Thank you for all the prayers, love and encouragement.

Saturday has me seeing the visiting nurse, and keeping my leg elevated.  I also have some thank you notes to write and send out.  I am also making a third scarf for Special Olympics.  I finished two of them in the hospital, and began a third.  It helped me pass the time while in there.

I hope everyone has a blessed day.

Hugs,
Trish

Hello and Happy Weekend to everyone! Welcome home, Trish!

So glad to hear that you survived hospital food and made it safely back home to rest & recuperate. Please do take care of yourself....you have lots of "chores" to keep you busy *s*...I do not knit but I do crochet...always a bag of wool and hooks beside my chair.  You are supporting a very worthy project - Special Olympics...well done!  my crochet projects are very simple because I do it while watching TV or when we travel. They usually end up as lap blankets for chemo or dialysis patients or for the nursing homes...and, of course, many of my sons' friends are having babies so I always have a baby blanket on hand. I find that crocheting is very relaxing and it keeps my hands busy and out of trouble. Have a relaxing weekend, Trish, and get better soon.

I am just waiting now for the call to come for treatment..then I will get my schedule. It's difficult to make any other plans when I am waiting because my treatments take presidence.  We have already made over eleven trips to the Cancer Centre for my appointments and with the worsening weather, I may be staying there at the centre, Mon-Fri's, to avoid the long winter drive each way, every day for five weeks.

It's darned cold here..I see it is snowing again..the winds have been bitter but all my kitties are bundled up with our rottie in HIS doghouse! I have finally learned to make sure that I have a cup or hot tea or soup or oatmeal so I have something warm in my pouchbefre going to bed when it is so cold. I get into bed and cannot seem to warm up, which, in turn, keeps me awake and I am just too wimpy to get back up and pull on warmer clothes.

It's 2 am..can't sleep again, and just saw Derek & Kathy drive past the house headed to plow snow and salt the parking lots overnight. I do not envy them a bit. My son is really feeling the stress but when they snowstorm**** during the day, he cannot do much until the parking lots are empty of cars so they work all thru the night. I wish he would start a new career...owning your own business is stressful and I wonder how long he will want to be out at night in the wrst weather..I notice that he, at 34, is now questioning this too... at least he is young enough to change  still...he is excellent at dealoing with heavy equipment & is a mechanical enegineer so he should be able to find a job where he is not so stressed out.  All I can do is to be supportive and listen when he needs to vent his stress.

Danny sent me email pix of the day he took Derek up in the plane and they flew all over for two hours but I cannot get them open...my computer says the photos are too big to open. Dan will have to resize them for me. Now that Dan has his "Recreational Pilot's" wings, he is going for his "Private Pilot's" licence as well. At this point, he can fly anywhere in Canada except restricted air space and only during daylight...with his private pilot's licence, he will need more hours in the air and be tested on his "instruments-only flying".  Then he can fly anywhere at all and cross the border too. It's so good to see him enjoying his dream.

Well, a small bowl of hot oatmeal and I am ready for bed.

Enjoy your weekend, everyone and be safe! Special blessings to those in need and prayers for a safe journey to Connie & Margo.  I have not seen any news of Nan H..does anyone know how she is??  Thank you all for the kind support, prayers and wishes both here and in facebook.

Hi Trish and Nancy and the rest of my OFF family to follow:

Not much going on right now. I'm ready to head to bed ... a hectic night tonight, and I'm tired. Can't wait to get my benefits Feb. 1 so I can get a dental appointment and get these teeth fixed ... boy, do they hurt. Otherwise, things are fine. I have ice packs on both knees and lower back and I'm shivering, so it's time to get them off and get under the covers and into the flannel sheets and warm up.

We had some rain last night but it was all done by the time I got out of work. I hear they had a sizeable amount of snow in Chicago and Michigan ... glad I'm not there. See y'all later today.

 Good morning Trish and everyone....

It is 4:30 AM and I can't sleep. I have been up and down all night.
I am leaving at 7AM. Nic has to load my computer into my car and a few odds and ends and I will be on my way. Wish I could leave now but I don't want Nic to have to get up any earlier then necessary. Said my goodbye to Grace last night. I want to leave before she gets up.

Trish ...sorry I didn't get a card sent to you. I had every intention to but time just got away from me. Glad you are doing better and are home once again. Still praying for you.

Wishing you all a great day. Margo and I are both moving today. Please keep us in your prayers. Thank you.

I will be back when my Internet is set up. Hopefully by Tuesday.

I will continue to keep all of you in my prayers.

Much love and many hugs...connie d

 Connie,
Don't feel bad about a card.  I am so grateful that I have you and the OFF Family praying.  Your encouragement here and on Facebook was plenty.

I am praying for you during this transition.

Hugs,
Trish

Morning Trish and OFF family!!!

Welcome home again Trish!!! (((Trish)))

Nancy if the weather there is going to be bad you are lucky that you can stay there for the week for your treatments...(((Nancy))) As for Nan H, last I heard was she was doing ok. Phyllis keeps tabs on her and she lets me know she is doing ok. No news on Morgan though. Prayers continue for them both as well as for you Nancy. Nancy, if you are cold alot you might want to get yourself one of those heated mattress pads. I bought one and man it sure is nice having the whole bed nice a cozy warm and also helps with my aches and pains too!!! Rick loves it as well!!! Was so cold here last night I turned the mattress pad on and snuggled in and it felt so good!!!!!!!

Eileen you seems to be so much more relaxed and stress free since you moved and are working this new job. (((Eileen))) Hope your pains go away soon.

Well weather is warmer today but still sooo cold!! We got another 7 inches of the white stuff over night. Rick said the spring broke on his snowblower just as he finished this side...Randy had to be called in AGAIN to help clean this crap up...so mad at him because I told him he better be here and NOT make me call him in again!!!! Thinking of writing him up for it this time!!

Had to give an eviction notice yesterday. Not good but it was to protect us from them sneaking out without paying their rent. Heard through the grapevine they were using their damage deposit for this months rent...WRONG!!!!!! So now they have 3 days to pay rent or get out. See how that goes.

Well time to figure out what to have for breakfast...hungry for some reason this morning. Thoughts and Prayers for all that need them.

HUGS

Hi Trish and OFF family,

I'm so glad that you are home.  There's no place like home.

I received a package from a friend in Indiana. It contained 2 pairs if jeans that are the same size. One fits beautifully and one is so big it's literally falling off. lol

My dizziness is back. Have almost fallen several times. I have an appointment with my ENT. It is probably my inner ear acting up again. Don't want to use the walker again, but better safe than sorry.
    Hugs to you all,  Mag

Good Morning Off,
Glad to see you are home Trish. I'm sure your doggy is the most happy of all to have you back.
Nothing much going on with me- the massage I had three weeks ago really helped my back pain until now. That was a really good outcome I think. Now I need to find someone to do that for me every few weeks.
Today my daughter and I are taking our three dogs to the doggy park. It has been raining for a few days so the park will be muddy. The dogs love that and its fun to watch them play freely in the mud. I'll cover the car seat and give the dogs a shower when we get home. I don't mind the muddy mess as long as it gets on towels that can be washed. I'll prepare for the adventure- put towels along the path to the shower, etc. Two dogs in the shower at once will be interesting!
I won money at Bunco last night- about $28 I think. I always enjoy those nights with friends. I feel so lucky- my life is full and abundant.
Our San Francisco team is doing well in the play offs... of course I would love for them to go "all the way"! We'll see...
I bought a new printer the other day and we have it set up to be wireless- it's across the room instead of squeezed onto the compyter desk. Now I have room to do my nails, make-up, etc. right there as I peruse the internet. I have started organizing the desk drawers now to hold my necessities neatly. That desk is full of lots of junk that I haven't organized in probably 10 years. It feels good to get rid of old stuff.
Happy Chinese New Year- it starts on Monday- the year of the dragon. I only know that because it's something I like to teach each year. I have lots of objects and activities that I've developed around that theme for the children.
My husband's birthday is tomorrow- #63. We are going to be at a football watching party with friends. I'm going to surprise him with an ice cream cake. It will be a fn day for him, all those guys watching football... plus the winners of the two games tomorrow go to the Super Bowl so if San Francisco beats the Giants we are going to the Super Bowl. It should be a good game. The Giants are favored by three points (my husband told me- I'm not really that into this) so the game could be very close.
I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. I think life is better if you choose to enjoy little pleasures... today I am smiling about the image of muddy dogs!
