 Good Morning Family,
Well I am up early. I did my sponge bath and washed my hair. It will be a while before I am able to shower.

There has been talk of discharging me today or tomorrow. I am hoping today.

I am feeling better than I thought I would at this time.

Love and prayers to all.

Hugs,
Trish

Good mornin', ya'll.

Trish, I hope you get sprung today. If you feel you are ready, that is. Aren't those sponge baths a real pain! Almost as bad as having to pee in a 'hat'!

Got a couple of small errands to do today. Gotta go to bank to see if they can give me a better rate on the CD I inherited from Mom. It matures on Monday. It looks like I will make about $300 more a year if I move it. But gotta do 7 years. Who knows if the rates will go up or down in 7 years. It is currently earning 5.25%. I know there is no place I can get that amount again.

It's kinda funny, years ago when my Dad said I got a new CD today, I'm thinking 'sung by who' and he's thinkin' interest rates!

After that little trip I will come back home and get my DH for a quick trip to the Commissary. He says he doesn't want to wait while I am in 'negotiations'.

Then, I am free to crochet the rest of the day! Our new great grandson is due in July. Our grandson used part of his first new paycheck to buy the baby it's first outfit. It is a full body hooded cammo fleece snow suit looking thing in size 12 months. His girlfriend asked what if it's a girl. He said we'll just put a pink bow in her hair when she wears it. Can we all say "REDNECK"!?!?!?

Everyone have a fantabulous day!

 Trish,

I just got out of the hospital two weeks ago.  I sure sympathize with you about showering.  One of the first things I did was wash my hair....  rested then showered.

I was glad to hear of your pending release .....  if you are like most of us you will recoup better at home..

Good Morning,

I've just taken the time to pop in and read posts the past few days. Can't let a day pass without doing that. We came home from the Seattle area a day early and I sure am glad that we did. Tons of snow in Seattle and Chehalis where my daughter lives (about 16 inches there). That pretty much shuts everything down around there. We go home a day ahead of the snow hitting us. Had school yesteray with a 2 hr delay and it is cancelled for today. Subbed Tuesday and Wednesday, but won't today.

I am putting new covers on bar stools. Carolyn, I wish I could wiggle my nose and get you here for some advice. The backs of the cushions are totally covered. The fabric comes together on the sides in kind of a "t" . My fabric is a rather heavy leather like vinyl. Not quite sure how to do that part. I'm going to practice with a left over piece from another project. The seat cushions will be easy to stretch and staple. I want to do a nice job and be pleased with the result. Patience I will practice!

Nancy, Trish, Nan (and Morgan) you are receiving my most healing thoughts. Annette,I know you and Tom are both going through health issues. Dear Laureen, I've missed you and am sorry to hear about your exercising pan. Be proactive like you are about everything else and get to the bottom of it. If it's nothing you'll be so relieved. If it is something of concern you will deal with it and do whatever needs to be done! Connie, you know that you, Nic, and Grace hold a special place in my heart. I'm remembering the Jamie who loves vintage aprons and hope that she returns to you and yours soon. Your move will be hard, but I think it's certainly what you have to do at this point. The unknown is far worse for me than when I know what I have to deal with.

Most of us have some health issue to deal with. For many it is chronic sleep, pain, depression, anxiety or other issues. I know that even as my body ages I am so much better off than I was at 377 lbs. I really don't know if I would still be alive (If one can call THAT living)Not being morbid, just realistic.

May you all find the strength to face your challenges today.

Good morning Trish and everyone...

Not much time to post as they are coming at 3:30 to start loading the truck. They will fini**** up tomorrow and we leave bight and early Saturday. Plenty of snow on the way of course. We haven't had any and now when I move we will get nailed!!

I took Grace to preschool this morning and cried all the way home. This is one of the hardest things I will ever have to do. She wants me to sleep in her room tonight so of course I will!!

I spent quite a bit of time with Nic the last couple evenings. I took him out to dinner at his favorite restuarant Tuesday  night. I made his and Grace their favorite dinner last night. I miss him already!!!  Glad his results from his tests at St Jude's all came back good...Yay Nic MY HERO!!  Jamie heard about the results Tuesday and just remembered to tell us last night. Good grief she knows everyone was worried!!  Thank you so much for all the prayers for Nic....they were answered!!

Praying for so many of you with serious health issues.

Wishing you all a great day!!

I am not sure I will be able to get on a computer after tonight until Monday. If anyone wants to text if something comes up my # is  320 291 4979. Love you all so much!

Much Love and Many Hugs.....connie d

Connie,

My own version of an Irish blessing: May you travel safely on your journey, may your heavy heart lighten as you finish this move, may you find joy in life once again. Know that you are loved Connie! Oh Yay! Nic's good results are just a sign of good things to come. You HAVE to believe it!

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

Glad you might be discharged today and you're feeling better. Getting in the shower is a big deal when you're in the hospital. I sure enjoyed mine when I had my two knee surgeries.

I woke up at 7 a.m. with my back hurting me ... took a vicodin and went back to sleep. Got up at 9:30 a.m. when the phone rang. It was the Hyundai dealer telling me the thermostat assembly was in. We set an appointment for next Wednesday when I'm off again.

I didn't do much of anything yesterday ... well, I unpacked a couple of boxes, one of clothes and two of DVDs and videos. I really need to get a few more boxes unpacked today. Hopefully, my back won't hurt too much. I want to get some more of these boxes out of here. I will make a Dumpster run today because I have too many empty boxes here and a couple bags of trash. I also want to strip the bed so I can put the mattress pad and memory foam topper on, along with the flannel sheets (I haven't used those for awhile).

Anyway, I should get off the computer. Connie, I'm so happy to hear about Nic. I hope your move goes well. I know it will be tough on Grace and Nic, but you have to do what's right for you.

Have a good day, everyone.

Well, I finished my errands. Found out I can't transfer an IRA when I am a benificiary. I have to leave it with USAA. I decided on 7 years at 2.05%. Woo hoo! I figure the economy is not gonna get better and that interest rate will probably look HUGE in 7 years! I also asked if my distribution can be lowered. They are pretty sure they can base it on my age, rather than the distribution based on my Dad's age, as it is now. That will be a lower amount. The smaller the better. Don't want to pay any more in taxes than I need to!!
Picked up DH and went to the store. Got home and our son was here. He had made and eaten a salad. He has a sleep study tonight and he was practicing for it!!! When he woke up I mentioned that I was sure he was supposed to stay awake all day. He said nope, his paperwork says no sleeping after noon. He woke up at 12:30, and went back to work.
Lovely looking sunny day out. Looks are deceiving, it's pretty durn cold out there!

Connie,

I am so happy that Nic has good test results.  I know you are hurting so badly, but in a few days you will start to put all of this in a good perspective.

This weekend, my oldest grandchild is coming up for the weekend. He is 13 going on 30.  We will take him to a movie, and get him some games for his game playing device, and probably take him out to eat.

DH woke up this morning with total vision loss in his right eye.  He had, up until today, been able to see light and towards the evening, he could see outlines and some bright colors.  We called his eye surgeon and he said that it's to be expected.  I kept hoping that by evening his vision would have improved.  With Fugh's dystrophy, during the evening, their eyes get a little better.

Oh well, it is what it is.  His left eye is staying pretty stable, so that's good.

Well, that's the end of what I know.  Hope you guys all have a good evening.
