Happy Sunday, Everyone
Last night I did the front page for the first time here. In my year and a half in Louisiana, I did one 1A and then never again, while others got a chance to do it over and over. I wasn't expecting to have a chance tonight, but when I got in to work, my boss told me I'd be doing the front page. And actually, here, it was quite relaxed and organized ... unlike in Louisiana. I did other pages, too, plus helped out proofing ... and it was so unstressful.
Did you ever notice how the character of the staff is formed by the boss? Things are so different here; the boss believe in his employees, and they deliver for him. I feel he believes in me, so I believe in me. I never felt that the last year and a half.
The football games yesterday were a study in contrasts ... the first one between the 49ers and Saints was exciting to the finish; the second, between the Patriots and Broncos, a blowout. I didn't get to watch either, but oh well.
Well, I hope everyone has a good day. See ya later. Post away .. hope I sleep better tonight and don't wake up too early again.
I am so thrilled for your new life Eileen. I can hear the happiness, confidence, and peace in your new position. Also thrilled that the "check"war is almost done and you are settled into your apartment. It was the move from hell. When your work environment is good, you want to do your best and feel accomplished.
We are good. Ready for the Giants football today. The Saints/49ers game was really a thriller. The Patriots did what they do best. Was rocking for the Broncos and Mr Tebow.
Cool here, 38 outside. Nice and snug in our home.
Hubby made a huge pot of his sauce and it is fabulous. I have had a craving for it and he delivered. We found a wonderful meat store and the sausage and ground port and ground chuck made super meatballs.
Not much planned except football, Yoda walks, and maybe a workout at the spa.
Enjoy your day, prayers and happiness
Today is my 2 year AA anniversary. With God's help and the love and support of so many friends like you all here, I have not had a drink in 2 years.
Eileen, I am so happy your new job seems to be so much better for you. You are right about how bosses seem to set the tone for the employees.
I just saw the surgeons and they like how my leg is improving. They did say if my blood is not too thin today, they could drain the hematoma. If not today, maybe tomorrow.
I hope everyone has a great day.

Sounds like everyone has good news this morning. Eileen, I am soooo happy that you are sooo happy!!
Yesterday I discovered why my tire pressure alert was lit up in my car for the last month. I had a nail, causing a slow leak. We took it to Sam's to get fixed. It took 45 minutes. Guess what we were forced to do while we waited? Then later, we finally made it to the Outback for dinner. We keep trying other steak places, but, I'm sorry, Logan's is still the best!
This morning we were at Walmart by 6:30. No crowds then. Now my DH has a Home Trends catalogue and is ordering everything in sight. I think he is PMSin'. The grumpiness is normal, but this urge to spend tons of money is not!
We still have our son's three dogs. The one is constantly 'talking' to me. No idea what she is saying, but she keeps trying to tell me something important. She reminds me of all those videos that are always on TV or You Tube, where they make the dogs sound like they really are talking. She is also the one I suspect has this terrible gas! Not sure if our son and family will be home today or tomorrow. I know the weather up there (in WV) is not great.
Our daughter has begun cooking on the weekends. Her DH is a house husband and generally does all the cooking. She is working her way through my cookbook, and is trying as many of the recipes as she can. All the yummo stuff she remembers me making when she was a kid! Now her kids can experience those great meals.
Everyone have a fantabulous day.
Try filling your tank again then put the cap on really tight and see if that makes the engine light go off. That is what I was told to do by the Honda service guy one te and it worked.
