Super Saturday. . What's up in your world?
Hello Karen and all,
I know what you mean about not being able to do what we do now if we had not had our wls. I get tired mainly from the mental stress of having to talk to my grandbabies all the time. I know that sounds awful but I teach a couple of classes so I lecture a lot or answer questions and I am the director of the writing center so I am always either talking to the student workers or the students who need tutoring or the faculty who want me to help them or doing class presentations or workshops. So, on the weekend, I don't want to talk. I want to be still. My granddaughter is like me, she is a talker and talks almost all the time. Sometimes I say, Baby Girl please let Nana have a minute to think. She will say, okay Nana but one more thing.
Karen, get a back up memory device. Some are as cheap as a few dollars and you can save every thing in your email and everything on your desktop, pictures, anythng. And, when you travel, take it with you. I have two: my first one is the size of a package of gum and the other is as big as my ipod. You plug them into your computer and back up your stuff. You can create files like Email addresses or pictures of g kids or interesting articles.
Well, we are about to get started on our day of facials and nails and hair stuff. I can hardly wait: I hope you heard the sarcasm. HEHE.

Have you thought about subscribing to a service like Carbonite? That's what I use. For just $5 a month, they will automatically back up all your computer files every 24 hours. If something happens to your computer, all your files are saved in a remote location. You don't have to remember to do anything. I love it!

Up way too early today. Got up a little before 8 a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep. So I made a pot of coffee, added some protein (just got it yesterday) and some SF gingerbread syrup and I'm going to do some unpacking this morning. Once I get moving again.
I'm not used to the cold at all anymore. I need some sweaters. I was talking to my boss last night, who said that he had no cold weather clothing after 25 years of living in Florida. He really wasn't ready for winter. I have some sweaters and a coat but sold many sweaters when I moved to Louisiana. I'll have to check the sales.
So speaking of cold, it's 24 this morning. No more snow (although a half inch to an inch is predicted). We didn't get a lot of snow anyway. I'm just shivering though ... body just doesn't like it (well, it never did).
Work went fine last night ... it is so different just doing one paper again. We are adding the Henderson, Ky., paper at the end of the month (along with two of their staffers) ... we need two more people. Even so, it still isn't as crazy as Monroe.
Well, that's about all from me. I need to get some water. Vickie and Cindi, enjoy your get-together. Wish I could be there with you. But I'm happy in my new home. Have a good day everyone.
