What's Up Thursday?

 Good Morning Family,
I have enjoyed sleeping in my own bed with my furbaby, Utley.  I sleep so much better at home.

Today, I have an appointment with my ENT doctor as follow-up with the broken nose, and to check on my sinuses.  Then, I have to see if I can get my PT INR done as follow-up from my visit to the hospital.

When I get home, I have envelopes to address to drum up support for Special Olympics Polar Plunge.  Every year, hundreds of crazy Special Olympics supporters jump into the Delaware Rivier to support Special Olympics Pennsylvania, and their local county athletes.  I am putting together a mailing to all the high schools, fraternal organizations, and athletic clubs in the county.  So far I have over 50 addresses, with more to come.

Hope everyone has a blessed day.

Hugs,
Trish

Good mornin' ya'll.
Trish I sure hope your Dr. appt goes well and your nose is on the mend.
Yesterday I had my yearly CT scan. Had to drink that wonderful tasting barium. Monday when I went in for labs, she could barely find a vein that would give her enough blood. Yesterday, the same gal hit a geyser! There was blood all down my arm and a puddle on the desk before she could get it capped off. I wonder how long I have to have these yearly things! And then supposed to drink lots of water to flu**** out of my kidneys. Well, I did a lot of flushing, but it didn't come from my kidneys!!
Got my confirmed dates to go to OR. Our daughter will actually be there part of the time. But 1 week of the visit she will be in Medford. They just bought 5 corp stores there. Two of them are Taco Bell/Pizza Hut combos, so more employee training on pizza. They are also breaking ground on a new store in Warrington. With her OCD (I wonder where she gets that), it is very hard for her to hand over the reins to her assistants. Even though they have worked for her for years and are very compatent.
My DH finally got his letter excusing him from Jury duty. He gets a letter every year, and every year he has to get a letter from his doc. He got the letter excusing him yesterday, but the the guy from the county clerk's office called to say they still had not gotten the fax from our doc. Anyway, his reason is the same every year. When he has to 'go' he has to go NOW. Plus with his sleep apnea, if he is sitting still in a warm place, he falls asleep! I wish they would send me a summons. I would gladly serve on the jury!
Our son, DIL and grandson are going to West Verginia for the long weekend so will have the dogs. Our older grandson and his girlfriend both found jobs in IN. But I know he won't get a paycheck for a couple of weeks, so Gramma sent them $300 to see them through.
Well, I gotta go straighten up the house before the housekeepers get here.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Carolyn -- my honey is going to take me to West Virginia in May -- we're going to Kentucky where he was born and raised, for a cousins reunion, then a blueglass show, and then to Hurricane, WVA to see my last living uncle.

So looking forward to that trip,

Pat r.

Don't know where in Kentucky you're going, but I'm right on the border of Ind.-Ky. If you're going through, stop and say hi.

Good Morning Trish and OFF-

Trish-hope your appointments and addressing go well over the next few days.

Grammylew-  I hate bloodwork.  They dig around in my arms or the back of my hand!  I'm to the point that I don't even let them try my arms.

Pat R-  Your trip is May sounds great.  If you get the time go to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.  It's beautiful and very informative about horses.

Well today I'm going to conquer the clutter that has built up in my office.    I should take a picture with my phone and post it on facebook for everyone to see.  So far I've filled three paperboxes with folders to be recycled, three paperboxes with expandable pocket folders to be recycled.  Two boxes of pendaflex hanger folders to repurpose and one box of binders to be reused.  Not to mention the mountain of paper that is piled up to be shredded.  They have a shredding service scheduled to come on the 31st to get rid of the mountain.  I'm to the fun part of the project, reading old files and deciding where they should go.  This refuge is easy when it comes to property files as most of the buildings, fences, bridges, culverts, etc... were wiped off the face of the earth by Hurricane Ike so everything is easily accessible to create the property files they need to keep.

The local post office and I have gone to war.  I have my mail sent to me care of the Refuge address.  The local postal workers all retired in the last year.  I've had three packages returned to senders because they don't want to take the time to search out where the package should go.  If the label is not perfectly addressed they are rejecting the mail.  What happened to customer service?  One of the refuge employees is in a wheel chair.  When she drops the metered mail she puts it in the street side box.  They have told her that she has to get out of her car and bring metered mail inside to the metered box.  Need I say more.

Anyway, that's all for today, back to clutter reduction.

Good morning, everyone!

I am only here for a minute.  I stayed up waaayyy too late last night.  Usually I read for awhile and fall asleep within an hour.  Not last night.  Last time I looked at the clock it was 2:30 a.m.  Very unusual for me.  Now my head is all groggy and my eyes are scratchy and I'm dumb to sit up and fight it.  I'm going back to bed.

I may check back in later this afternoon.

Good morning Trish and everyone....

Trish....I am hoping you feel better everyday. HUGS!!

I am furious this morning. Couldn't sleep with worry last night.  I asked my daughter who they are getting for daycare. She hasn't even contacted anyone yet!! What the hell is she waiting for. This is so unlike her. She would normally be so worried about Grace she would have done that weeks ago. I feel like I need to stay longer but I think that is what she wants me to do. I CAN"T and WON"T!!  I contacted my ex SIL last night. He isn't very happy about it either. He said HE would take care of it today and I am not to worry!! I feel sick!!!

I am doing all the laundry today instead of tomorrow so they have all clean clothes to pack. They are leaving for MN for Christmas tomorrow and will return Sunday. I feel like I should have done the kids clothes and and left hers!!

Enough of my whining. Wishing you all  a great day.
Prayers for those in need.

Love and hugs to all...connie d

Oh Connie, I wish I could just give you a great big hug! I know you are worried about Grace's well being. You may be right, perhaps your daughter thinks if she does nothing you will stay longer. Maybe she has made arrangements and just wants you to worry!
You have to be strong. You have to consider your own health! It sounds like your ex SIL is willing to make sure Grace is safe. If you think he can, you should let him try. You are just gonna drive yourself totally crazy, if you keep this up.
You and Grace are in my prayers. I'm confident an acceptable solution will be found.

Carolyn....my life is in a lot of turmoil these days. I hate that Grace doesn't know I am leaving.  I wanted time for her to adjust not just running out and leaving her. My daughter is just being inconsiderate and uncaring almost evil!! I am so disappointed in her and her behavior.
I still have things I want to be sure my EX SIL is aware of before I leave. He doesn't know every thing yet. It is just that Grace is usually around where he is here.
I am scared to death not having any insurace. I have so many health issues. I pray I can work something out.

Thank you for caring and for all the prayers too.

Love and many hugs to yo my friend....connie d

 Oh Connie,
I am so sorry you are having to suffer right now.  I believe you once mentioned that your daughter has bipolar disorder and is not on medication.  If that it the case, it is her illness that has her being inconsiderate.  She is not evil.  She is sick.  Properly medicated and in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I am a transformed woman from the witch that raised my kids.  God performed a miracle in me.  Between His grace and strength, and the right meds and therapist, I no longer act like a maniac.  I am considerate and put other people's needs first, most of the time.

I am praying for you, your daughter and Grace.  My relationship with my kids is a miracle.  They should hate me for how I raised them.  They have chosen to forgive me, and we have the best relationships.  My son even ordered flowers for me when I was in the hospital.  Plus he drove from New York City to the hospital on Saturday, just to watch football with me.  That's an hour and a half drive.  He works long hours at a demanding job.  Yet, he took the better part of Saturday to visit me in the hospital.  I know that if I were not on my medication, and acting like I used to, he wouldn't give me the time of day.

Know that we love you, and are keeping you in our prayers.

Hugs,
Trish
