What's Up? It's Thursday.
Albert Schweitzer

TRISH!!! I am praying, I have everything crossed and I am sending positive vibes. You stay until you are better, pain free and ready to take on the world!
I love, love, love my new stove! It is gonna be very hard to keep the stovetop clean, though. My DH believes in cooking everything on high! I have a splatter shield for him to use, but there is still grease everywhere. I have to wait for it to cool so I can use the cream stuff and the scrubby. But I will keep it up. I am trying to decide what to do in the oven first. A pork tenderloin sounds good!
My sleeve tweak is working, but I am still not losing as much weight as I want to. I have decided to get back to basics and count calories! I also have neglected my treadmill since before Christmas cause I have to move it to use my dining room for large groups. I could have moved things and folded it down again earlier, but I have been lazy.
Soooooo, starting yesterday, I am writing down every bite that goes in my mouth and I don't go past the treadmill in the morning until I have walked on it!
We are warming up a little here. I know it's winter, but I'm not fond of the cold. At least we don't have snow!!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
Sending you positive vibes that they solve your pain problems and help you recover from your fall. Hopefully they'll get that done soon so you can get rest in your own home and bed.
Went to Yoga this morning. It was a workout with Sun Salutations today. This involves lunges and squats, etc... A videotape of my session would have been ugly but at least I tried it. I am finding my flexibility improving over time and less back pain.
I have decided to change chiropracter's since the one I was going to does not use any heat or ultrasound to help with the inflamation. My right leg is still popping at the hip and the knee which tells me that I'm not properly aligned.
Not much else is new here. Yesterday I got to attend the dedication of a new refuge office complex in Liberty, TX. It's on the Trinity River. The Refuge is small about 25000 acres. Created to conserve river bottom woodlands for migratory birds. Nice little town Liberty. Think I'm going to explore it further in the coming weeks.
Today our refuge is being blamed for a massive traffic accident on a local highway into Beaumont TX. They are saying that fog and smoke (caused by USFWS controlled burn) resulted in the pileup. Only problem is that this refuge put out a wildfire two days ago and has no funding to do any controlled burning this year. I saw a huge fire last night coming home from water fitness. Probably a private rancher burning their fields.
So today I am going to work to polish up the latest batch of labels that I've done and clear my desk of the debris that has built up into piles waiting for people to give me answers on whether I can throw the stuff out.
Again, Trish, I'm going to send positive vibes you way that they get you pain free and home soon. Everyone else have a great day.
Cindi
Good Morning Trish and All to follow,
Trish: Praying that they figure out what's going on and that you get rid of the pain. Do they have any idea what's going on?
Grammylew: The new stove sounds lovely. So happy for you. New is good. Question for you. Some times I see your name written Caroline and other times Carolyn. Which is it?
Cindi: So sorry your refuge is getting blamed for the wreck. It's not fair.
I slept so well last night. Feel so refreshed. Had a dream that our indoor cat, Bella, got outside and was looking terrified. He was scratching to get in. IF he ever does get outside I hope he is wanting to get back in the house.
I've been craving sugar for days now. I did break down and have sugar on my oatmeal the other day. I didn't notice any difference in the taste. I sure don't want t mess things up when I have done so well for so long. No returning to my old way of life. Sugar never did make me feel better any way.
Hugs to all, Mag
He's a true southern gentleman (originally from Kentucky) and we are very much in
love already.

Trish I have been so concerned about you. Hope they can figure out what is causing the pain. Any news at all??
Still keeping you in my prayers.
Carolyn...so glad you love your new stove. Let us know what you bake first....LOL
Nothing new for me today. Same old same old. Every time I look at Grace and she hugs me so tight I feel like caving in and staying. I am always tearing up around her. I know I can't stay but it is a hard none the less.
The movers come on the 21st of January. It is all set up now. Actually my Ex SIL Travis and his friend are moving me. I called Travis to ask him who he could suggest as a moving company. He manages a huge rental company here. He said we have trucks just pay for the gas and Jay and I will do it. Nic is probably coming with to help too. Sure saving a lot of money having them do the move!!
Wishing you all a wonderful day.
Praying for all those in need ....especially Nan, Morgan, Trish, Nancy, Margo. Monica and Susan etc.. Seems like we have a lot in need of prayers right now.
Love and hugs to all....connie d
Well, I hope the move from hell is over. It continued yesterday when I got the check from my employer to pay the movers. I was so happy and hopeful this was over. Then the credit union insisted on holding it for two days because it was non-guaranteed funds. They wouldn't even let it go when the editor called. So then the movers called me (and I couldn't understand this guy ... when I met him, he was a guy with a very Russian accent) ... threatened to put my stuff in storage and charge me a redelivery fee of up to $1,500. Great, make my stress level even higher. I was sitting in a parking lot crying and called my editor ... got his assistant, who I had met earlier that day. So she started working on this problem.
So then I went back to the credit union. They reversed the endorsement on the check, and I had to race downtown to this bank where they were going to give me the money. Problem was, there was a Main Street and a North Main Street, and I went to the wrong bank branch, got there late ... just wanted to cry. But, in the end, it all worked out. I got the money, the movers were here when I came back. The Russian sounding guy took the money, fanned it like a mob boss, said he wouldn't charge me for waiting (if he only knew what I went through to get the money). Then the two guys who did the heavy lifting proceeded to haul in my stuff. They didn't have tools to put my bed together (again!); they didn't put my table together, they were yelling at each other in Spanish the whole time; they wouldn't put thing where I told them. Do not use Pro Movers out of Norcross, Ga. They delivered quickly but they were rude and unprofessional. I wish I could have gotten one of the bigger companies but considering when I moved, this was all I could get. Bad choice. Maybe I should've gone with the guys out of Texas.
After all that, I slept so well in my bed. I found my floor lamp in one of the boxes ... they had taken it apart and shoved it in one of the boxes. Luckily it was the first one I opened. I hope this is the last thing I have to deal with.
Trish, I'm sorry you're still in pain. That's horrible. I'm still stiff but hopefully it won't be as bad as it has been while I was moving.
Have a good day.
Sober 430 days and so proud of me.
Back from chiro visit, this young man is amazing. So glad I overcame my fears and let him work on me. Hubby doing well too.
Cold here again and we had a hard frost. Glad I was bundled up when taking Yoda for his walk. He loves his new coat. Happy I am.
Prays and good wishes to all. Monica
