AMEN!  It's funny in a sad sort of way but it was really causing problems between us.  He didn't realize how bad it was and couldn't understand why I slept on the couch!  Now if he doesn't drink the tonic he has a bad night and recognizes it.    He travels alot so he takes the pills on business trips, but prefers the tonic.  At $1.00 or so for a bottle of tonic, it's a rather cheap fix.   One litre lasts 3-4 nights.

Yes, I have RLS.  My prescription is Ropinirole.  I take it as needed and haven't had to use it as often after WLS.  I can have RLS when I am at my desk or relaxed in front of the TV and during the night.  Leg cramps have eased lately also.

I just found out about a new over the counter medication for restless legs. Is called Restful Legs,,and is available at Walmart for sure,,thats where I found it. It said on the bottle that it stops jumping twitching limbs and stops the inclination to want to move the legs. I havent tried it yet, but Im getting some tomorrow. Its only about six dollars a bottle for about a months supply. Boy, if it works will that save some cash! I will let  you all know how it does!

Be Blessed

I never knew I had RLS until I had my sleep study.  I think I am fortunate.  No meds so far.  I would notice sitting still at my desk I would be miserable, sitting on a plane (too fat to move around) would be miserable and when I lie down at night I am aware of it.  It is uncomfortable and I feel I need to get up and walk around.

I am guessing this is what RLS starts like.  Praying that losing weight will help the symptoms.

Yep, thats RLS, and once you have it it doesnt go away. Mine is so bad when I dont have meds, its in my arms as well. It turned into Restless Limbs and sometimes feels like spiders under my skin,,sometimes burning in my thighs and then they start to twitch and I cannot sit or lay still. I have learned to take meds before the burning starts. Riding in a car is miserable. I just took a 2500 mile trip and if I hadnt had my meds would have been in misery. My doc said its heriditary, someone in my family had it, and my girls have it as well. I feel for you my friend,,I can so relate. I suffered with it till I got the meds a year ago and couldnt believe the difference. Now I panic when Im about to run out.
Ill let you know how the stuff from walmart works,,you might benefit from it.

Take care and be blessed.
