Wednesday, What's up!

Mag,

I'm all for keeping myself accountable!  I think that's a big part of my problem when Butch is gone.  I'm here all by myself with no one to see if I'm being compliant with my new dietary restrictions or not.  I'm ready to try any scheme you come up with!  LOL!

So, here's the deal with the furniture and moving.  As incredible as it might sound, we currently own three houses--our main home and two lakehouses.  That's just crazy.  Our goal right now is to sell our main home, then my husband can retire, and we plan to split our time between the two lakehouses, one in East Texas and one in Central Texas.  (Now me?  I'd like to sell the lakehouse at Sam Rayburn--that's in East Texas--and just live full time at the house in Canyon Lake, but I'm meeting a lot of resistance to that idea.)  We've already waited a full year longer than we said to put our house up for sale, due to the depressed real estate market.  Hubby would like to wait another year, but I'm pretty much insisting that we get going with it this spring.  Hence, all the cleaning and furniture moving!

I really hope you get to make a trip to Austin this year and that the timing is right for us to get together!  That would be so much fun.

Vickie,

It will be wonderful for Butch to retire. Be forewarned, my Mom, as much as she loved my Dad, still got frustrated at times to have him home all the time. Glad when he would go out to the garage that he still maintained after retirement. Big enough to hold 2 semis. In the later years my Dad and brother did mostly restoration of classic cars.
I truly hope I can get to Austin before you moved farther east.
Today is going to be warmed than the week of Christmas. I'm going to go for a walk for sure. Also will eat breakfast which I've been skipping. Eat well yesterday. Happy with that.

Hi Cindi and OFF family,

Connie I am so sorry you must go through this terrible time. You remain in my heart and I will be praying.

Not much happening here. I'm suppose to be trying on clothes and reclaiming my bedroom. I was very productive yesterday and the front of the house is in good shape. I should pretend I'm moving and get rid of so much that has accumulated over the last 8 years. Don't think I will do it until I finish losing the weight as changing wardrobes every 6 weeks is draining (fun, but draining.)
Must go and make some calls before offices close for the day. I've been putting it off for 2 days. Must force myself to do it. It always takes so much longer than expected and I get tired of being put on hold.
Take care and God's best for you and yours.      Mag
