Thursday What's Happening?
Good Morning OFF Family,
I woke up to go potty, and let Utley out, and just brought him in, because he was barking at the neighbor's dogs. Argh!!!
Anywho, I was up very late trying to work on the bedspread, and fell asleep at some point in the midst of it. l have about 10 more rows, which get bigger with each row, because I am making it a square, which grows by 16 stitches each row.
Hugs,
Trish

Good mornin' ya'll.
Our grandson and his girlfriend came by last night to tell us goodbye! Then at 5:30 this morning he got us out of bed to get his computer he left here. We were about to get up anyway. It will be a sad Christmas without him! I know he is 20 and by this time most guys are out on their own. I just hate to see him go under these cir****tances.
Nothing really planned for today. I can't do much more towards Christmas until Saturday.
I hope all of you are ready to meet the holiday. Don't forget the reason!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Good Morning Trish and Grammylew-
At 2:45 am the wind came up and the RV starting really shaking. I thought I was going to blow away in the wind. Then the rain started so I won't complain because they desperately need all rain in Texas.
Morning Yoga class was cancelled due to instructor illness so I'm at my volunteer job early and would really like to crawl back into bed for a while. But I have the next 6 days off to visit my "Texas" family so won't complain.
Did a water fitness class last night. I'm a bit stiff this morning but otherwise feel good. Should I count it as a NSV that my flabby skin on the butt shoke around last night in the pool! Felt like an extra skirt on the bathing suit.
Trish, I know you get that bedspread finished in time. Thanks to you I'm knitting scarves for special olympics and I started one of the employees here at the refuge on the project.
Grammylew, I admire your taking a stand for your grandson and agree whole heartedly with your support of him and his girlfriend. They are going to have a "tough row to hoe" in the coming months and need all the support they can get.
Positive vibes to everyone in need.

Hi Trish and my OFF family:
I didn't sleep very well ... thunder boomers early in the morning kept waking me up and my body hurts a whole lot from the rainy weather.
Last night went OK, even with the later deadline. Everything else came in earlier and so I was able to get other pages out on time and just wait for the football game. Louisiana Tech lost, but kept it tight until the end.
I am stressing out about this move ... money wise and packing wise. I guess it will all be OK in the end, but right now it just doesn't seem to be enough time or money to get it done.
Anyway, I need to get some coffee in me. I'm tired but my body just doesn't want to go to sleep. Maybe I'll nap a bit in my chair. I have to leave for work earlier because I have an appointment at the pain clinic to refill my meds ... a $50 ripoff, but I need to get the refills before I leave. (The $50 is the copay just to get the prescriptions ... they won't just call them in here because of all the druggies ... it's a state law.)
Have a good day. Love ya all and am grateful for y'all.

Good morning sweet Sistas!
I'm up, I'm showered, I'm dressed, and I'm WAITING for the Sears Repair Man to call. What'cha wanna bet he won't show until after noon? That's okay, as long as he gets here today and fixes my washer!
I swear, the scale hasn't moved in weeks. I'm stuck at 185. But as I sit here in a pair of size 16 jeans, I tell myself to be grateful for 90 lbs gone. If this is all there is, I can handle it. I was so miserable last Christmas and so embarassed by my size. I hope I can get at least 10 to 15 more pounds off, but I'm not going to sweat it. It is what it is, right?
Very happy that oldest daughter Carrie is coming home today. She will be here several days. Not exactly sure when she's going back to Waco, but I'm excited to have her company.
We've been planning our menu for this weekend. My mom wants to fix dinner for us on Christmas Eve. She's going to make chicken spaghetti for us. Then on Christmas Day, I'm going to make roast beef with duchess potatoes and purple hull peas. The duchess potatoes are a new recipe from Pioneer Woman that I'm going to try. They look delicious and very elegant.
As for the Battle of the Dust Bunnies, I definitely think I'm ahead, although I have to call a cease fire today. But I have the kitchen, dining room, breakfast nook, living room, guest bath and laundry room CLEAN! Still need to work on the office and my bedroom, but those are semi-private areas. If they don't get done until after Christmas, it will be okay.
I'd better get going on my day. Lots of presents to wrap this morning before Carrie arrives this afternoon. This is probably the last day of work for some of you. TGI-early Friday!
Love you all!

Vickie, I know what you mean about not cleaning the 'semi-private' areas. We have a housekeeper who comes once every 2 weeks. BUT the back bedroom gets piled with everything when company is coming and I just shut the door!
Our son has been here for his salad for lunch, but no nap cause things are busy at work. Our younger grandson is having his tuna and crackers and a nap. He just came from the gym, he is trying to keep in shape over the holiday. Baseball practice starts when they get back to school.
Our daughter and her family are having a great time in the sun on Maui. They go home Christmas Eve.
I can't shake this blue funk I am in. Having my other guys come over for lunch just emphasizes the fact that one is missing. Plus, when I went to Mexico for my sleeve tweak, I didn't pack my pill case. I generally take 300 mg. of Welbutrin everyday, so I was without them for 5 days. Which I know isn't good. I've been back on it for only 3 days. I've had a stern talk with myself, but that isn't working well. I think I just need time for my meds to build back up and time to get used to having the big guy gone!
Glad the night went well, Eileen. I know you can't wait to put this job behind you!
I'm off. I think I'll put on a funny movie. Maybe that will help!

Hi All,
My cleaning helper is here and I'm trying to stay out of her way. I caught a cold and I'm trying to ignore it but so far it is resisting my efforts. I can't believe that I caught a cold now- the last few weeks I've had so many snot-leaking children that I've worked with up close and personal but did not catch their viruses. This one came from who knows where...
I have nothing much planned. I need to run to the bank to deposit some checks. I need to clean my refrigerator. That's my big goal for today. Happy Thursday!

I take a lot of Emergen-C to buld up my immune system. It's a huge dose of Vitamin C and other good immune building things. It's a powder I mix in a bottle of watr.
It helps me avoid colds and other germs.
Hope you feel better soon.
Hugs,
Trish

Update: Well, the Sears repair man came and took all my money with him when he left! LOL! The good news is that he fixed my washing machine. The bad news is that I can't afford to get my oven fixed.
I know you have to pay people what their time is worth, but honestly. The part to fix the washing machine was $60. The total bill was $220! The only things extra on that bill were a specialty light bulb for my dryer and a new piece of filter cloth for my vent-a-hood. All the rest of that was labor. Reeee-diculous!
(Butch will blow a gasket over it, but it can't be helped. Yes, if he was here, he could have fixed it. But he's not here, is he? Oh, no, he's way the hell over on the other side of the world, as usual!)
And as for my oven. Oy vey! Just the parts alone cost over $500. I can only imagine if you added in the labor. So I told him to hold off on that one. Butch and I will have to talk that one over. It might be better just to go ahead and buy a new double oven, much as it pains me to even think of doing that. The oven itself works. It's just the light panel has gone very dim and the latch for the self-cleaning feature has stopped working. But I doubt it would pass inspection when we go to sell this house in the spring. As Pooh says, "Oh, bother!"
Well, I'm ironing and re-hanging curtains this afternoon. They look so pretty, all clean and crisp again. I'm having fantasies of being Bree on Desparate Housewives! LOL! Too bad my spic and span house won't last long!

Good afternoon Trish and everyone.....
Trish...I am still praying that you get that bedspread done. Talk about a labor of love!
Carolyn...I am so happy you are standing by your grandson. I do the same for my granddaughter Kyleigh. Everyone gives up on her but not me, not once! Kyleigh thanks almost every day. They need us!!
Today I took Grace shopping. She got gift for her dad. He left one here for Jamie from Grace. I thought it was the least I could do. Grace also got a couple gifts for Nic. We came home and wrapped the gifts. Grace was so excited that she has her own gifts to give. The little things that mean so much to a child.
My cleaning lady came today. I only have her come every other week. She does the things I can't do.
Wishing you all a great day. Prayers for so many in need.
Love and hugs to all....connie d
