A VERY  early  good morning to off friends;
Another sleepless night for this member.  Insomnia is no fun!  I am sleeping less than an hr a night  Ill be glad when this insomnia chain  is over!    I have all my Christmas stuff done  now except for baking the quick breads to share with the family    our way of remembering moms love of  baking I guess
Steve and I are waiting till new years weekend to exchange gifts;    Money will be more plentiful then  as Steve has to work some over Christmas  shut down  at double time so we will indulge a bit more than usual!!  We don't do anything the rest of the year so we don't feel guilty about  indulging at this time of year   we both love Christmas!
A friend lent me  a little doodad that you plug into the puter and you are on line!   I have some nice friends!!
Have a good day everyone!!!

Hi Jo and Off Family,

I guess it's these times of no sleep that I find out how capable I am of making mistakes. lol I am feeling sleepy so may try to get a few hours.

Got to work on my bedroom. It seems there are always piles of clothes to try on or give away or get hemmed. I'll be glad when I'm at maintenance and stop having to find new wardrobe every 2 months.

I want to find a day when I can Make a few batches of cookies. Nothing overboard. Just sugar cookies, choc chips and peanut butter.

Busy with doctor appointments this week and next. That is a pain.

Take care of you.   Merry Christmas,   Mag

Good morning friends:
Things are wonderful in my world.....need I say more.  Bobby is the most loving, kind, considerate gentleman I have ever met -- we both say this is God's plan.  I can hardly wait until Sunday when we will finally meet face to face....altho' I'm sure it won't change a thing about how we feel about each other -- only enhance those feelings.
Sorry to get all mushy....

Have everything done for Christmas that is possible to do....my children come tomorrow night for their presents and supper....they spend Christmas in the U.P. of Michigan with her folks.    Have a busy week - back to Dr. to have him check my ears -- they are feeling pretty good after a week on the drops to soften the built up wax.  Anxious to have my blood pressure taken too - hope it's back to normal.  Did 30 minutes on the exercise bike this morning and got my heart rate up to 120 - and logged 4.4 miles.  Need to keep that up.

Must get to work -- have a marvelous Monday, and know you are all in my thoughts and prayers,
Hugs,

Good morning Jo, and my OFF sistas!

It's the start of a new day and a new week, and I'm determined for it to be the start of a new ME today, too!  Yesterday I nearly let the blue funk get me.  I moped around most of the day, missing my family.  No more!  Today I am going to be busy and productive, which equals HAPPY in my book.

So (and here she has to either laugh or cry) I decided to color my hair yesterday evening.  Same brand, same color, but boy! did I ever come out RED.  I'm going to do just fine as a Christmas decoration all on my own this week.

I have to tell you all: it still gives me a little thrill to put on my big winter robe and wrap it around myself and find that I have tons of belt left to tie it with!  I could barely wrap and close this robe around my waist last year!  I guess I need to make myself a new one in a smaller size, but it's just so much fun to wear this one right now!

Well, much to do today.  I'm tackling cleaning up the living room today.  Dust bunnies beware!

Hope you all have a marvelous Monday!  Short work week for many of you.  Enjoy!

Love you all,

 Vickie

Good Morning Jo and OFF Family,
I just got home from my IV iron infusion.  I used my iPhone to watch a TV show while I waited.  I am so grateful for my hematologist.  She stays on top of my levels regularly.

I volunteered with the homeless last night.  What a blessing it is to reach out to those people.  Several of them gave out Christmas cards.  What nice people they are.

Today, I will be working on the bedspread.  I have a lot left, and little time to fini****

Have a blessed day.

Hugs,
Trish

Good morning Jo and everyone....

Jo...those air cards are nice. I had one for my laptop and just loved it. Now I need a new laptop but am waiting until after Christmas when I have some money again!

Got my Christmas Cards mailed off yesterday...well at least to the Post Office. Glad that is done. I have been so behind!!

I met that new guy for coffee yesterday. He is nice but no spark for me. He seems pretty taken with me. He even brought me a rose. I reminded him once again I will be just friends nothing more. He thinks he can change my mind. I told him I will be dating other people. In fact there are 3 others I will be connecting with soon. One I really like. Time will tell!

Grace is at preschool today. Her last day will be Wednesday then Christmas break. That will be nice as we can once again sleep in and kick back in the mornings.

My granddaughter Kyleigh is coming on Thursday. I always have her with me on holidays. That is a long story!! I usually drive up to Minneapolis and then drive her back. We checked out Greyhound Bus and she can get a round trip for $94. I will gladly pay for that. That is way cheaper then what I spend on gas and meals and such driving back and forth. She doesn't mind riding the bus. She is 19 and I won't have to worry about her. All that time driving and in the car causes me such pain for days after wards. This will be much better for me.

I want to try to get some sugar cookies baked today so Grace and I can decorate them. She will love that!!

That's about it for me. I still have one gift for Grace to pick up. Nic and I are going shopping Tuesday evening. He wants to spend time with me.  We always have fun together. I won't see my other two grandchildren until January. I sure am missing them!

Everyone have a great day. Prayers for so many in need.

Love and hugs to all.....connie d

Hi Jo and my OFF family:

I didn't get to Skype with my family yesterday ... Skype kept quitting on me. So I used the phone and talked with a few people, but not for long ... they were getting ready to eat. In my family, when you say 1 p.m., it means eat at 1 p.m. I should've known.

I got a couple of boxes from work yesterday, along with two Christmas presents ... one from the managers and one from my Secret Santa... it was so much fun to get goodies. Nothing much, just cute little things. My Secret Santa was the young Indian woman ... she gave me, among other things, a beautiful cat necklace in this beautiful lace bag. I wonder if she got it when she went home to India. She's very quiet ... the only words she has ever said to me was she liked my cake. Also a coffee cup with a cat on it and a cat print. So, she knows I like cats ... how did she figure that out?

I still have to buy something for my Secret Santa, but will have to wait until payday (and besides, she's on vacation). It will be a gift card ...not very imaginative, but I have no idea what to get her. I know she likes smoothies and she eats out a lot (everyone does there). So a gift card seems appropriate. I'll put something else in there Christmasy.

Anyway, I will pack a couple boxes today and get some more boxes, just to make sure I do a little every day. I do have to go to work. It's going to be a grueling week, but the money will be nice.

Have a good day.

Good afternoon, ya'll.
Well, I am back from my sleeve tweek! Actually, technically, I guess I now have a sleeve with plication. There was an area at the bottom of my stomach where it attaches to the intestine that was still a little too big, so he sutured it. I feel fine, except there are 3 incisions that are right at my waistband, so they are a little tender. We got our Harry and David gift basket from our daughter while I was gone. I decided to sample some. I had TWO of the shortbread cookies and I am stuffed! So, maybe this is finally gonna work. Cookies were probably not the best choice of a test, but with the band, even cookies slid right through!
Our grandson has decided to move to IN with his girlfriend. They are the ones with a baby due in July. She feels she needs to be with her Mom and I can understand that. Our son doesn't want the girl at his house at all. She is living with her God parents here and they don't want our grandson there. Plus, they are making her leave because it will be a bad example to her kids. I know why she wants to be with her Mom, but I hate to see them leave on such bad terms with their families! Can't they just all be adults about this? There is gonna be a precious baby this summer and babies can never have too much love! I think our grandson is still considering the Marine's. If he goes in, they will marry, because she will no longer need her Mom's insurance! They are leaving on Wed. It's gonna be a sad Christmas for me, at least!
Our daughter and her family are on Maui for Christmas. That grandson is the one at the Military Academy in SC. From the posts on his FB page he is certainly enjoying the girls on the island. Comments about all the 'T and A' baked in the sun by God. His 17 year old hormones are working overtime.
When I got home and went through all the mail and stuff my DH had piled on the kitchen table, I asked what was in the Christmas bag. He didn't know. It was from our housekeepers. Just some little gifts. But really nothing I can use. So our DIL came over for a little while and I asked if she could use any of it. When you work, there are always Christmas gifts to give out. She took a couple of them. I'm glad they will be put to use.
I am trying to catch up on my DVR'd shows and work on the blue afghan for the new baby. I'm gonna make a pink one and a blue one so all possabilities are covered!
Tomorrow, I swear I am gonna do a few more bar cookies and really begin to gear up for Christmas dinner. Even if my heart isn't really in it!
I have read the posts from the last few days. Looks like romance or just friendship is in the air for a couple of you. Go grab it with both hands. Great to hear of all the good times with grandkids. Those are great times to cherish! And Christmas hair! That I'd love to see! I know this is long, but I have lots of pent up stuff! Sorry.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Oh, Caroline, good to hear from you!  I was thinking about you earlier today.  I didn't realize you would get to come home so soon.  I surely hope and pray that this last "tweak" did it for you!

I don't know what to tell you about all those folks who are making it hard on the new parents-to-be.  I certainly wasn't very happy when my daughter got pregnant, but like you say, done is done.  The baby is coming and deserves all the love everyone can give.  The new parents could do with some love and support, too.  After all, they are hardly the first young couple who have started out this way.  i think you have the right attitude.  Hopefully the other parents/godparents will come to their senses and follow suit.

I'd tell you not to overdo it for Christmas, but I have a feeling it wouldn't do any good!  LOL!  But do be good to you and rest up a little, okay?  When you find out if the baby is a boy or a girl, be sure and let us know.  I have some layettes that are already made up and would be happy to send a gift to the baby.
