It's Thursday!

Hello my sistas!

Only have time for a quick fly-by this morning.  Too much to explain, but youngest daughter apparently left my house on Monday in a rental car and took herself and Benny back to San Antonio.  Okay then.  Thanks for letting me know.  So my time of "running away from home" is over.  I'm headed out of Waco this morning.

I think I will go on down to the lakehouse for at least one night, check on things there (besides I left my Sonicare toothbrush there last time and I MISS it!), and then head back to Nac to get ready for Christmas.  I'll post again tomorrow.

Love you all!

Good Morning Julia, OFFr Friends,

Tis the season for lots of busy ness. . .  this week, in between the painting of my kitchen, livingroom, diningroom, I had lots of cleaning, moving furniture, putting the kitchen back together, attending a holiday function and the past two nights cooking for our office holiday party, I made 2 lbs. of baked ziti, a corn caserole and a s/f, l/f chocolate cream pie, oh and also for my roommate who is moving out, I left her a tray of mac n cheese that I put together special for her last night, as she loves the way I make it (lol). . .  then this morning at 5:30 I was cooking up some peppers and onions for my breakfast omlet. . .  today is our party, tomorrow night is our managing partner's yearly house party and then there on Saturday I have last minute things to do in preparation of Xmas and a party at one of my local WLS friend's house that evening.  Because of the painting my house is not decorated at all, hoping to get that done sometime on Saturday because Sunday Tony is coming down to spend the day and we are going to watch the Jets/Eagles game, so that will finally have me sitting still for more than 5 minutes (lol). . .  this is one holiday that wears me out (lol).

Wishing you the best possible day and enjoyment of all the festivities you have planned!

Hugs, Laureen

Good Morning Julia and OFF-

Well I hauled my carcass out of bed this morning at 6 am and drove through thick fog to take a yoga class.  I'm proud of myself for doing it even though I don't have the flexibility of others in my class.  I've joined the local wellness center so I can take advantage of the exercise machines and classes.  As soon as the bathing suit arrives I'll be able to take part in Water Zumba and Water Fitness classes.

Eileen congrats on the official job offering.  Sorry that we will not be able to meet face to face but happy for you to be able to get closer to your family and into a more relaxed working environment.

Not much else is new here in Texas.  I plugging away at my project and helping with the not-for-profit store that benefits the Refuge.  I have fun doing that.  Hoping that my stall will break.  Think I'm going to have to severely restrict the carbs for a few weeks to get things moving again.

Good morning Julia and everyone....

Julia I envy you all the parties and fun. I miss all that! Have a great time.

Many here need special prayers today. I hope all works out for everyone.

I am having a scope (vocal cords) done at 11:30 this morning. I keep losing my voice. Personally I think it is my allergies. Oh well better to get it checked out.

I am missing all my MN friends and all the get togethers and holiday fun. At least I have my grandchildren!!

I wish you all a really nice day. Prayers for others here as well.

Love and hugs to all....connie d

For months and months hubby had been very hoarse and congested. Finally got to see the ENT. Vocal cords OK, congestion from drinking too much milk the doctor said. He has cut back on milk and the results are so amazing. No more morning congestion or mucous. He is sad to lose the egg nog and ice cream and his multi glasses of milk but is so pleased to have the gunk gone.

Monica,
I've been on a dairy product kick for 3 weeks. Maybe that's why my throat feels yucky. I'll take a break from the overload of milk.   Mag
