Good Morning All,
I'm starting the thread before I go to bed- tomorrow will be busy for me. I'm finishing the cleaning/decorating spree. I will be having guests on Friday (my colleagues in the morning and Bunco at night), my husband's family on Saturday and my family on Sunday. Then I will be having my TOPS group (about 20 women and 1 man) for snacks on Tuesday night. That will be the extent of my entertaining this year I think. It's a lot...
One more day of school- then I get a couple of weeks vacation! Sleeping in is something that I do well! I can't wait!

Hi Julia and my OFF family:

I was hoping to get on here first ... some of you already know my good news ... but here goes: I passed my drug test and my last day here in Louisiana is Christmas Day. What a great Christmas present ... don't care about anything else.

I also found out another person handed in her resignation this week. That makes four of us going before the end of the year. I feel sorry for those left behind. It's going to be hell there.

So later today when I get up, I have to call back movers, I have to find money for moving (they are giving me some, but not until I submit receipts), I have to look more diligently for a new home. I'm so excited ... I will have a new home for the new year.

I've been running on adrenaline today. Starting to run out of steam now. Have to go to bed soon.

Congratulations Eileen.  That is an awesome Christmas present.  I am so excited for you.  I hope the move goes smoothly, and that you find the perfect place to live.

Hugs,
Trish

Morning all, sober 410 days and so proud of me.
Julia your party plans sounds delightful and fun.
Eileen, very excited for your new job and the move. I know you will find a lovely new home and be happy where you are going.
So glad that Sue's Gary is home and with no cardiac issues.
Been busy here. The tree is up and all the presents sent and on their way. Very pleased with the shopping and wraping and wish we could see the faces when the presents are opened. Our son Angus got his new phone and is thrilled. His thankful message touched us. Hubby gets depressed if he doesn't go overboard at Christmas and I had to really talk with him last night about what we can do and what we should do. Christmas is his season, along with Easter, Valentines Day, 4th of July, Halloween, etc. He just loves to decorate and then give, give, give.  He got me a beautiful special belt in NC on our ride home, very blingly and very different. I really need nothing, but he is upset that he can't get me more.
Had my bone density test and have osteopenia, so will have to work on upping calcium intake. Also had mammo and the doctors office called and they want more views taken of my right breast. Since I had breast reduction surgery 6 years ago, the scar tissue is very much an issue. Hoping that this is all it is. Hard for me to think about, especially when I know what so many of you all are going through now. I have taken myself for granted for too long and this past year has been about me coming to ME again. Backed myself in a life corner and getting out of the corner is tricky.
I so appreciate you all. Don't always post but think of you here and say prayers. Have a happy Thursday and be good to yourselves. Monica

 Monica,
I hope your mammo follow-up is just the scar tissue.  I have had second views, and even a breast MRI, and the anxiety is always there for me.

Congrats on your sobriety.

Hugs,
Trish

Good Morning Julie and OFF Family,
Wow.  Your schedule of guests is exhausting to read.  I hope you have a wonderful time with each set of guests.

I am awake, barely.  I got up to go potty, and can't go back to sleep.  I have my AA meeting, and then I have to go get the kielbasi, as I didn't make it there yesterday.

Tonight, I am going to my Bible study for a project of wrapping presents for some needy clients of the local mental health agency.  Then, we are also having refreshments and exchanging White Elephant gifts.

I hope everyone has a blessed day.

Hugs,
Trish

TRISH,

White Elephant gifts?  Our town has a White Elephant resale shop. It's HUGE. As big as a K-Mart. They take all kinds of donations. They are able to give back over 1 million dollars a year to local charities and special needs. I couldn't believe there are 2 places named white elephants.    Mag

Around here, White Elephant gifts are something new or used, nice or a gag gift.  It can be fun.

Hugs,
Trish

Hi Julia and OFF family.

Julia: I know you will have so much fun. Sleep well. I'm afraid I would stay in bed for a week after that.

Eileen,  So very happy for you. You deserve this upgrade to a respectful company.

Monica:  So very proud of you. My group of friends here don't drink so that makes the holidays much less of a temptation. In Indiana it is a much different story. Maybe that's why I don't go back home for Christmas or New Year's Eve.

Hope I didn't forget anyone. I only slept 2 hours last night. Will need a L-O-N-G  nap this afternoon. My Mammo is being don today. I've had a few times when they wanted another look. So don't worry Monica. It probably is just the scar tissue issue.

Off to check out facebook and get some coffee. Merry Christmas and Peace to all.   Mag
