One of the keys to healthy living is moderation..... Posted: 08 Dec 2011 03:24 AM PST One of my favorite sayings is "Everything in moderation....including moderation".Most of us have heard the first half of that. And it is sound advice. But, honestly, without the second half, how do you know what is moderate? Everybody (or at least everyone I know) goes off the deep end once in a while. Stay up too late, drink and/or eat too much, put yourself under too much stress, etc..... if we didn't go to the extremes once in a while, how would we know where they are? Chances are you already know what it feels like to eat past the point of moderation. How do you feel about spending this holiday season learning what it feels like to eat just to the point of moderation? |
Right now I can so Identify with eating carbs and having problems digesting meat (usually I can eat any meat/fish without problems).
So what I have been doing lately has been eating those Weigh****chers frozen dinners. Lots of protein in them, I like the roast beef/mashed potatoes and turkey/mashed potatoes and I just tried the chicken breast with spaghetti and that was great. I've had to cut up my meat really really small and add gravy. If I'm eating the carby crap I'm always hungry and it's not head hunger either.
I've also started back on EAS protein shakes and I remember the day I could get off the shakes...now I'm supplementing my meals...needing more protein. Is it hard? Sometimes but somethings got to give and I'm not buying bigger clothes.
I do find when I practice Mindful Eating, reach for the foods I really want I am not eating that much. I try to stop when the food stops tasting fantastic in my mouth. I try to leave 3 bites of food on my plate.

Hopefully you really will enjoy the WW dinners. I got one of the PCA's I work with who is trying to lose her baby weight (2nd one) and she has dropped 10 pounds all ready along with exercise.
Whhooooo!! WW dinner's taste soooooo much better than Lean Cusine. It's all about the taste, you like it and you won't feel like your dieting.
