Xpost: 2 years tomorrow - with pictures
Well, it will be two years tomorrow since I had the surgery that changed my life and enabled me to live how I've always wanted too. Before surgery, I had sleep apnea, high cholesteral, high blood pressure, and was pre-diabetic. I couldn't walk a quarter mile without my back and knees hurting. I was watching my family enjoy life on the sidelines. Now I am a full participant. I've completed 4 half marathons, one 12K, one 10K and one 5K. I've climbed 2.5 miles down into a volcano, then back up, hiked in a rain forest, ziplined on a cruise ship, splunked and climbed a waterfall in Jamaica and can dance the night away with my hubby. I no longer worry about if a chair will hold me or if everyone is looking at me with disgust when I enter a room. I have more energy and feel healthier than I did 15 years ago. I love my life!
