Wednesday - What's Happening in Your World Today?
Good Evening Everyone,
I'll be the caboose today. Busy, but productive day. Didn't have to work so finished filing, tossing, and organizing my computer room. I still had genealogy research in a pile from my PA trip over a year ago! Hannah and Clara will be spending a week sleeping in that room so everything needs to be out of the inquiring eyes and hands of two almost 4 yr olds.
Erin told a cute story that I just have to share. The twins wrote letters to Santa that they dictated to their dad. They were fairly predictable saying they love Mommy, Daddy, Grandmas, Grandpas, all their cousins and friends. Hannah wants a donkey toy and Clara a "tiny" baby doll. Here's the good one. . Clara also wants a THIRD ear. When Josh told her her head wasn't big enough for a third ear she added "a larger head" to her list. Where do they get these things?
We go to see "Cinderella" live in Seattle next week. Erin found cute dressy dresses on sale for the twins to wear to the production. She came downstairs yesterday to find them already dressed. . . in their new "Cinderella" dresses. . . for daycare. What are you gonna do? Of course they wore them.
I called the gym today and I can take the twins to family swim next weekend. That will be fun. Mike made them little wooden rolling pins (adorable) to use with their homemade Playdoh that I made the other night. Can you tell we're gearing up? We'll bring the twins home a day or two before the rest of their family. A chance to spoil them even more. We'll be worn out long before Christmas.
Feeling much better. The combination of an increase in restless legs meds, plus a generic anti anxiety and sleeping pill. . . I'm feeling much like my old self with no nasty side effects so far.
Feeling productive and in a better mood. I don't like myself when I'm snitty and snitty I have been this last month.
Oh I love this! The Fifth Avenue Theatre in Seattle where "Cinderella" is being staged is having a "Cinderella's Slippers" donation of new shoes for foster children. Hannah and Clara will each take a pair for a child in need. A good chance to show them the "reason for the season" and that it feels good to share.
Mike's aunt in Montana passed away yesterday. He and his brother will be leaving in the morning. Her service is Saturday. They'll spend 3 days and have a chance to checkup on the younger brother who they were helping this summer. He is now on medical disability and has medical coverage. Lives in a town of about 1000 with no facilities and no car. So in order to get new glasses he has to find a medicare provided and go about 50 miles in order to find one. They hope to accomplish that also.
It's 4:40pm and dark. Think we'll have breakfast for dinner and light the fireplace. Cold and clear here the past few days. Still frost on the grass from this morning.
You all take care.
