Ready or not--it's Monday!
I guess the official countdown to Christmas begins this week. Have you all got your shopping done yet? I'm proud to say I'm finished with mine. Now all I have to do is wrap it all and get it moved down to Hilltop before Christmas. Hopefully I'll have a new bigger ride! We're hoping the car dealer calls us today and says that they found a new car for us. Why is it such a problem to buy an AWD or a 4WD here in the south? I know they make them for drivers up north. But the only 4WD's you can get down here are pickups and jeeps.
We are still waiting for the insurance company to get its act together to repair Christie's car. Looks like she might be here at least 2 more weeks. This is an awful lot of togetherness, sistas! It's okay this week while Butch is still here to act as a buffer between mother and daughter. Don't know how it will be next week after he leaves!
I'd better get in the kitchen and start cooking some breakfast. My guys wake up HUNGRY every morning! LOL! Young or old, men are all the same, aren't they? Just feed 'em, and they're happy.

Yup damn depression...really got me bad....Friday I was minutes away from suicide....the only thing stopping me was my grandchildren. Especially Nic...knowing how hard he is praying to live a full life.
Things need to change here and soon or I will move to MN....I need to stay alive!!

Good morning Vicki, well I hope the last of my bad week is over. The chemo hit me hard. Have a faily Christ party on Sat, & I really want tto go. Then chemo on Monday again. Quiet weekend , but ok. I guess I needed it. Thank God for my Dh. He has been wonderful. I am always cold. I wear 2 pair of pants. 2 pair of slippers legwarmmers wrap at least 1 blanket around me a heating pap on my chair. Also have at least 3 dogs on me. Sorry to rant, I really try not to.

Nan -- I guess I missed your post about your cancer coming back.....I am so sorry you are having to go through chemo again. You know you have my prayers for healing -- God will prevail, and I know He will strengthen and comfort you during this trial.

Geez, Nan, I'm always cold, too, and I don't have chemo or frigid northern temps to deal with. I feel for you, sweetie! Have you ever made a bed buddy? They do sell them in stores, but you can make your own, even if you don't sew.
Just fill an old tube sock with dried lentils and either sew the end shut, or just tie it off. Throw it in the microwave for 2 minutes and viola! Instant heat! You can make small ones to fit in the pockets of your coat or sweater for hand warmers. You can tuck them in around your feet while reclining in a chair or on the couch. And of course, you can tuck them in your bed at night, too. Hence the name: bed buddies. I love them!
I do make mine a little nicer by sewing handtowels into a tube and filling them with the dried lentils. I've even given those as gifts before.
You can also fill them with dried deer corn, but then the house smells like popcorn! LOL!
