WHATS'S UP SUNDAY??
Looks like everyone is still sleeping this morning. Bandit wanted out so I got up after Rick went to open up the club houses and laundry rooms. So much for me getting a little extra sleep today! Oh well.
Weather here is cloudy and very windy. Looks like we will have rain for a few days and turning colder and then snow. YUCK. But its that time of year for this awful weather.
Started the last afghan I need to make for a Christmas gift. If I make one row each day it will be done 3 days before Christmas!!! Call that close huh? LOL This one is going to be very pretty if I do say so myself. I am making the large flower an off white with the smaller flower a pale yellow and hooking it together in kelly green. The colors really pop after the green is added on. PRETTY!!!! And easy on my eyes after the last 2 I made!! LOL
The hillbilly breakfast was canceled yesterday because the guy couldn't find his key to open it up!! LOL So we went to a place called Big Plate Diner. Prices were really cheap and man they wern't kidding when they named that place!!! Got our breakfast on huge PLATTERS!!!!! OMG I could not eat all that food!!! Had to bring over half home!!! I had 2 eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast. Coffee to drink. OMG HUGE plate of food!!!!! Told Rick next time we go we get one and split it!! Thursdays they have chicken and dumplings. thinking of trying that. See how the week goes. They close up at 3 so that will be hard to do unless we go at lunch time.
Well better get my butt in gear and see what I can get done today. Thoughts and Prayers for all that need them!!!

Nothing happening here. Nic will be back from MN later today and Grace is with her dad until 7PM. I plan another day of Hallmark movies and relaxing. I tried to start writing out my Christmas cards last night and my heart was just not in it so I gave up.
Wishing you all a wonderful day. Prayers for those in need.
Love and hugs to all....connie d
Looks like everyone is sleeping in today.
Not much new here in Texas other than we are getting some much needed rain here in Anahuac! Such a delightful sound to hear on the roof of the RV.
Fighting an invasion of field mice. Suspect it's because the weather turned cold. Sylvester catches them and plays with them but does not dispatch them to other world. He lets them go and they escape. Going on the offensive today and tomorrow with all the remedies I know of to get rid of mice.
Today will be a relax day. Some of my fellow volunteers and I are going to a Holiday concert. I'm going casual as I don't have any "dressy" clothes that fit. They're all in the car to be donated. So a nice teeshirt with a nice sweater will have to "dress" up my jeans for now.
Hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful Sunday, that all of your football teams win and you have a marvelous day!

Judy, it is cold and rainy here too. Only difference is we won't get any snow this week. It IS supposed to drop down in the 20's at night this week and man, that is COLD for us.
We are having our usual wacky morning around here. Baby was up at 6 a.m.! But I had a touch of a headache this morning, so Butch got up with him. Oh, I have to brag on my husband. He got up with the baby, played with him, changed 2 diapers (one of them poopy!), and cooked that baby breakfast all by himself before I ever stirred again. What a wonderful grandpa, huh? Daugher, of course, is still in bed. She won't rouse until noon unless I make her get up. Typical. I swear, she reverts to being a teenager when she's here.
So, we went car shopping yesterday. Our plan was to test drive as many different crossovers as we could manage in an afternoon. We test drove a Toyota Highlander, a Nissan Pathfinder, a Mazda CX-9, a Chevy Traverse and we looked at, but did not test drive, some Hondas. Whew! And, of course, we started out wanting a Ford Edge, but we had already driven that, so we didn't need to test drive it.
Well, after all those cars and interest rates and dealer incentives, etc., I think we have settled on a Mazda CX-9. It wasn't even on our list, but the salesman pointed it out to us and after we drove it, we liked it a lot. We also like the Toyota Highlander a lot, too, but it remains to be seen if they can find us a 4WD model. We'll pick the quest back up again on Monday. I'm trying not to get too excited yet. I've already had one car deal fall through this fall.
This morning I made up another batch of my all-bran muffins (cannot tell you what a happy camper my digestive system is with the addition of all bran!), only this time I made them with toasted walnuts and dried cranberries. OMG. Can you say YUMMY!?!
Since it is rainy and yucky here today, we won't be going back to the farm. Whew! Instead Hubby really needs to work on cleaning out the garage. I've promised to help (but mostly so I can make sure he really does it! You all know how that goes, right?), so Benny and I will need to dress warmly today. I'd better get things rolling. It's already 10 a.m. and everyone here is still in jammies.
Love you all!
I was up early but then I went to bed at 10:30 p.m. I was so tired ... tried to read in bed but my eyes kept closing. I slept soundly for what felt like forever, got up and it was only an hour. So I got up at 7 a.m. and decided it was time to get out of bed. My left knee buckled on me, but I think it's because of my back. Took a muscle relaxer and put an ice pack on my back. it's better. It's raining so the weather may be doing this to me ... that and the two days on four planes and hotel rooms, etc. But I'm sure I'll be OK soon.
Juliette is so happy to see me ... she slept part of the night with me, then on the floor at the foot of the bed, like guarding me. I missed her, too. She was so good ... went in her litter box without me scooping it. No vomit on the floor, either.
I'm still sleepy today but have a big pot of coffee and can take a nap later today before work. Not really ready to do that, but I will get myself in gear for it later today.
Judy, sounds like you are enjoying your new place and getting to know your new job eventually. Hope it works out for you.
Have a good day, y'all.
Lovely here, great breeze and warm. All the windows are open.Have a great day. Be well and happy
I'm so glad that you are so happy with your new job Judy! Now if Eileen gets her new job we will have two hapy campers to cheer us up here!
I'm good today. I ride some waves of tears for my Mom, but as long as I go with the flow I'm OK. Yesterday was a fun day... two parties and lots of socializing and dancing. I have a lot coming up in the next two weeks so I need to get in gear with my decorating. The big tree is almost done, but there is a smaller tree and more decor to put out. I can't find the stockings yet. My husband is such a sweetheart to put up with my decorating obsession. I just don't do anything in a small way. I think I've always been that way.
I'm going to post a little "thing" about my surgiversary. Better get to it. Happy Sunday!
