What's Up on Saturday?
Good mornin' ya'll.
I hate clothes shopping no matter what size I am. My daughter and I wear about the same size, so I get her's she is tired of wearing! I borrowed one of her dresses for our grandson's wedding last year.
When we moved down here it took me weeks to empty all the boxes. That idea of trying to do one a day would have helped, but I was only motivated to do the important stuff immediately!
The kids came over last night and picked out a blue afghan, and a pink afghan. I will make both. They can take both or just the color that works when they find out what they are having. I'm sure they'll have more babies at some point.
I bought some onsies and put an iron on on the butt that says "Does this diaper make my butt look big?". Since summer we have had 3 friends that had baby girls. I made one for each of them.
Well, I have 3 for breakfast. Gonna finish feeding them and then my DH are going out to lunch.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!

Good morning, my OFF sistas!
Things are a little wacky around here this morning. Maybe it's the change in the weather. Hubby is a little out of sorts today, fumbling around in the kitchen, breaking a couple of things, etc. I would like to tell him to get outside but the weather is not nice.
So, today we are back in car shopping mode. Yesterday the battery died on my car again and I got a little mad about it. You remember that my battery died right before Thanksgiving when I was sitting in the parking lot at the airport at night? Hubby said he just needed to clean the battery cables. Well, he cleaned them, it ran another week, and then it died on me again yesterday. I called him while he was out in the woods at the farm. Told him, "you're supposed to take care of me!" Guess I stung his ego a bit because last night he announced he was going to buy me a new car. Okay by me!
Oh, dear, Benny just turned all red in the face and made grunting noises. You all know what that means! Poop happens! LOL! Guess I'd better go change him.
Have a great Saturday! Good luck with all your shopping, cleaning, and job hunting today. Love you all!

Hi Trish and all OFF,
I am glad to be home and back online as of yesterday. In the hospital from Nov 14th to Dec 1st. I will tell a little of the story at a time. Bled too much during surgery and needed transfusion. They they couldn't get me to wake up from the anesthesia for quite a few hours. My BP continued to run very low at 70's over 30's and then finally up to 80's and 90's over 50's and 60's. It took over a week to get it up in the 90/60 range. Now I need to put ice on my knee and elevate. Talk more tomorrow.
Glad to read about everything happening with all of you. Mag

Hi Trish and my OFF family:
I got home today at around noon, but I'm so pooped, so I just finally went to bed ... took a muscle relaxant even because my legs kept cramping up (and yes, I take potassium, twice a day). I was in so much pain until I got up from that nap. Now I feel somewhat human again. Juliette missed me ... it's the first time she has been by herself (Patricia was having an MS flare and didn't feel comfortable driving). But Juliette was so good ... the litter box was fairly full but she didn't go anywhere but there.
She was lonely, of course, but otherwise didn't do anything bad. What a good kitty. She snuggled next to me in bed when I took my nap and now she's lying next to me on the recliner footrest.
As for the job, I feel very hopeful. The copy desk chief said he wants to hire me, he just has to talk with the editor in chief and the manager editor, both of whom I met with. The staff is great, a lot like the people I worked with in Grand Rapids. The exec editor is a guy who used to work for Knight-Ridder (where I also worked, but different newspapers) and knows some of the same people I know; he also got laid off when Gannett bought the Tallahassee paper, so he knows what it's like to be laid off. I just felt a kinship with a lot of these people. I could live here, work here, settle in here ... finish my career here. I didn't feel that way when I interviewed in Monroe; I thought, well, it's a job, maybe it'll be OK.
Anyway, I'll know something Monday or Tuesday. So keep those fingers and legs crossed, prayers, etc., swing those chickens, rattle those beads. And next, comes my brother. We've got to get him a job ... soon!
