monday, monday
Up early here this morning, too. Hubby and I are planning to spend a day at our farm out in the piney woods. That means 4 wheelers, thick boots, and cold noses and hands today! Brrrr! It's 28 degrees here this morning. Our first freeze of the season.
Things are slowly settling down around here. We managed to get through the day yesterday without another big scene, for which I am very thankful. Daughter thawed out enough to make conversation with us at supper last night. So I'm hoping for a better day today, especially if we all spend some time apart.
Got to make a run to the grocery store this morning for some more baby supplies. I wasn't planning on them being here this week, but Benny needs more diapers and wipes, milk and fruit, etc. Also need to make a quick stop at the vet for heartworm meds for the pups. And the ever present laundry is always waiting for me to tackle it. Just got 2 more loads to push through today, I think.
So, busy Monday for me! Hope you all are back in the groove today. Seems like Thanksgiving was a little bumpy for most of us!
Love you all!
Well, yesterday our younger grandson came down for his usual BLTs, went home to clean his room when his Mom texted him, then back for nachos and nap all afternoon. No word at all about my future great grandbaby or anything the kids decided on. Although she posted on her FB that she and our grandson had gone to the movies.
I'm not mentioning it, but I would love to be in the loop.
DIL just popped in to get some toilet paper, they are out. Who runs out of toilet paper? Doesn't everyone keep it under the sink and when the supply gets low you put it on your grocery list? Anyway, no mention of the kids from her either.
I have a leak under my kitchen sink AGAIN! DH has a call into the plumber. Such a bummer that our son has such a bad back, shoulder and hand and can't help us with these things anymore! I don't think the grandsons have the knowledge.
Today a trip to Lejeune to get new RX's filled. Then to Wilmington to JoAnn Fabric to return some purple ribbon. Flying solo while DH waits for plumber to call back. I can go faster alone, anyway.
Also, have to call my patient coordinator to coordinate when I can go down and have this sleeve checked out. I can eat anything, and as much of it that I want. The only thing different is, I am now lactose intolerant and don't dare have even a little regular dairy if I plan on leaving the house!! And those lactaid pills do absolutely no good!
So, a busy day for me. Oh, and sometime this week I need to get together with a neighbor. Her hubby bought her a sewing machine for her birthday and she needs a little instruction and help with her first project. That will have to wait til tomorrow, at the very least.
So glad the storm has passed in TX Vicki, and you are getting some time away, even if it is freezing!
Everyone have a fabulous day!
I am really struggling with depression, mostly caused by my iron deficient anemia. I can't get my iron infusion till Wednesday afternoon.
I am going to try to get to my AA meeting at noon. Then, I have to go somewhere this evening. I don't have much else going on today.
Hugs,

Hope it all works out for you.
Not much going on here. Need to go to the Apple Store (oh boy) to have them help me with my iPad. Doing funny things, so maybe the smarty pants there can help.
After that, I'll come home and get back to my knitting and games with my Words With Friends friends.
Hope you all have a dandy day!

Jacki, You've been missed! How are you? I know what you mean. The older I get the faster the time goes! My countdown is actually more for the end of January to arrive so that I can have the renewed hope of spring!
I'm subbing today and need to head out the door. Busy is good for me this time of year!

Good morning Jacki and all....
Haven't been on much lately -- too many other irons in the fire.
No man in my life right now and it's ok -- I'm still my happy self!
Bought myself a "huge" christmas present -- a new Dell Laptop!!! Haven't had a laptop before but wanted to replace my 8 yr old PC and so I got a great deal from QVC. Never bought anything on line -- hope I don't regret it.
At work this morning -- still have lingering effects from the terrible cold I had over a week ago.....hear from others that it hangs on and hangs on.
Done with my Christmas shopping -- did 99% of it online --- just love that!!
Back to work -- best wishes and prayers to all my friends on here...
Hugs,
Pat r.
Hi Jacki and my OFF family:
So good to see you again, Jacki. Yes, the year always flies by.
It's actually cold here today ... I had to wear my winter coat this morning when I went out to the credit union and doing some running around. Less than I wanted to because I slept too late ... went to Walmart for trouser socks to wear with my dressy sandals so my feet won't freeze (no dressy shoes, so these will have to do) and some Atkins shakes because I still can't get my Believe shakes from Bariatric Eating. Then I bought a pair of gray dress slacks at this new store I found ... lots of nice stuff and good deals ... with their sale and the coupon I had, the $30 slacks were $9.86. Can't believe I didn't know about this place before.
So I'm finishing up my coffee and I need to have lunch. Last night wasn't as bad at work but it was long. Another night til 1 a.m. and then I came home and watched the Hallmark Hall of Fame show ... that was really good. Got me thinking about "what's my glory"... my writing, my love of cats. I think maybe my writing. I think I need to write more. I've been doing it lately, just for fun again, like I did when I was young.
Have a good day everyone.
