Sweet Lady,

You are too polite. Crap is not close to the correct word for this screw up. Soapbox Stay angry and have a hissy fit.

Sending loads of love and positive vibes

Susan,

Can't imagine this is any fun for you, but try to be thankful that at least they acknowledged their error and no one tried to "cover it up" to save their own skin.  You know there are people who would rather hide a mistake than own up to it.  Thank goodness they told you and you can now deal with it.

Praying for you!

They haven't acknowledged anything, yet. No one can tell me why I supposedly had a follow up visit on the 17th of Oct that no one told me about, or set the automated appointment verification call to remind me of the appointment. In other words, they made an appointment, didn't tell me, and didn't call to remind me.
Then,,,,,I got a letter saying that I had missed my appointment, please call to reschedule. I called FOUR times to reschedule before I got a call back. THEN, it was a new scheduler who made an appointment for me in SIX months. The Dr's nurse called me two days later to see if it had been figured out. She is the one who got me in yesterday. I was told yesterday that the Dr was delayed in surgery and was running behind. I waited as long as I could before I had to leave to go back to work. When the Dr called me, she said " I was told you stopped by today".
Stopped by????

I have a call in to Administration.

Better to be pissed off than pissed on

I would have been pissed as hell and screaming at the top of my lungs at them. How the hell did they make this mistake with your life?

I hope this works out OK after all. You're in my thoughts, Susan.

Susan....I am sorry this happened to you. Doesn't sound like they are very good at communicating around that office. I hope you do call and get this addressed. Someone needs to get reprimanded for this!

Praying all goes well with the lumpectomy. I hope it turns out that it is nothing to be concerned about.

Love and hugs....connie d

Suson,

The lumpectomy is a simple procedure and it is better to get it out.  The labs make mistakes all the time and the good thing is they came clean.  Some don't.  You will get through this and all will be well.  I had a lumpectomy a couple of years before wls and I get regular mamos.  I have to tell you that the lumpectomy scared me as it is scaring you.  But, the good news is they found it and it is a damn good thing they did.  YOu take some time to think through this, but in the end, you are going to bounce back with only a small scar and a little dimple on the boobie.  My hubby says the scar gives me character.  HAHA.  YOu will be fine.  You have to be fine: you're the captain of this damn food ship and we cannot sail without you.

How about a full load of horse crap right inside the door of that office? Someone sure dropped the ball on this one and then it sounds like a bit of  "cover my own arse" respone. . . "I heard you stopped by the office?" Yeah right! Susan, I am glad that they didn't just choose to not inform you once they figured out the messup. Holding you  close to my heart and wishing you a positive outcome to this bump in your marathon road!
