Wonderful Wednesday: What's Up
Well, what’s on your plates today? My routine rarely changes from my usual routine; however, today, I am back to shopping for a new outfit for the stupid parties that I am going to. DH has a work party thing, and I have my work party thing. And, since our jobs are in different fields, and it’s doubtful I will run into the same folks at each party, I am going to buy one outfit. I hate spending money on eveningwear that will be used so rarely and that I know won’t fit me in a year. (I’m planning on getting toned up and having plastics after DH gets his transplants.)
I’m also going to get some pre-Thanksgiving shopping done. My daughter’s husband’s father is coming to our house for Thanksgiving dinner, and my dance partner and his husband and their son and his family and their daughter will be coming as well. So, I’ve gotta do some really fancy table setting. So, in addition to getting a new outfit, I am going to buy a new tablecloth, a couple of serving platters and bowls and some new wine glasses. Well that’s my day: working and shopping.
One more thing; three of the girls that I went to graduate school with are getting ready to go on the job market and two of the girls have job interviews, so we are setting a day for a makeover. We are getting hair styled, mani- and pedicures, facials, and on that same day, we are going to shop for interview outfits. Of course we have set the day for this the first of December. As if December isn’t going to already be a rat race.
Talk on and hope you guys’ day goes well.
Well, I'm sitting here with my second breakfast. Burned the first one to a crackly crisp. Black, charred mess. Guess that will teach me to not leave the stove unattended while I'm in the other room trying on pants. Oh well.
Kind of a spit shift at work today. First one at 11:00, then a follow up doctor's vist from the breast biopsy, then back to work from 4:00 to 8:00. Eating will be interesting, for sure.
That's it for me. Hope all of you have a wonderful day!

Good Morning Everyone, Cold, dry and clear here in eastern Washington. Visited the dermatologist yesterday where I had the unpleasant experience of having two biopsies taken. Two areas on my face are "not looking good" according to the doctor so they took samples to check. Have two lovely little "dot" bandaids on my face, one on my upper lip and one on my cheek. The rest of the day was spent with 2 friends exploring a couple of little towns, having lunch, and catching up with each other's lives. Plan to exercise whenever I can fit it in today.
Notice that my iphone has a "Nike and ipod" feature for workouts. I haven't downloaded any music yet and need to get that figured out. Pandora is an app that streams music but need to see if it uses "data" at the gym. I'm being "drug" by the heels into modern technology. Slowly but surely I'm figuring things out.
Texting drives me crazy when I type what I mean and the machine thinks I mean something else! Still very dark here this am. Think I'll get another cup of coffee. We had chili and cornbread for dinner last night. When the weather turns cold I want comfort food. Have to watch it. Been craving chicken pot pie and chicken and dumplings. Good thing I can't eat much of either!
Have a great day everyone!

Today I am getting my Kindle Fire, can't wait to see whether it lives up to the hype, it is a dumbed down version of a tablet and from the specs I think it will do fine, because what it can't my android phone can do. . . yet another leap into the modern world. . .
Enjoy your day Karen, miss you and the group of Sistahs!!!
