Karen, just wanted you to know that I thank you each day in my prayers for helping me overcome and be successful in my life. Your guidence and ideas are taken to heart. Reading your words was like a hammer on my head.....thanks for pounding the messages home.
Your grand daughters are wonderful. Glad you get to be a part of their lives even when you live far apart.

Monica, Your words mean a lot to me. Seems like I have a knack for helping others more than myself. I think I'm also more honest with others than myself. However, I try and I'm trying hard these days. Like the movie "What about Bob?" I'm taking little tiny baby steps and trying to inch forward each day. Have a good day my friend.

Good morning Monica and my OFF sistas!

"It's raining, it's pouring" . . . and everyone here is rejoicing!  Oh, we are having a lovely rainy morning here at the lake.  You can almost hear the earth sucking up the moisture with a big sigh of relief!  This drought has been terrible.  So very thankful for the rain today.

Wondering how Mag is doing today?  She had her surgery yesterday.  And where is Grammylew?  Haven't heard from her in several days.

I got my butt in gear yesterday and finally got my curtains hung in the master bedroom and the guest bedroom.  Mom ironed them for me as I struggled to put up the hardware.  Oh, but it all looks so nice now!  Well worth the effort.

Today I plan to start back on prepping the walls and ceiling in the guest bath.  When last we left that project, we still needed to put a last coat of mud on the seams of the wall board, which I'll do today.  And then I have to texture the walls and ceiling tomorrow.  And then I will attempt to paint the ceiling (never done that!), and also paint the top half of the walls.  The bottom half will be wainscotted, and that will have to wait for Butch.  Slowly but surely . . .!

LOL!  The wind just gusted through my kitchen (I had the window open to enjoy the fresh cool air) and blew all the pages off the memo pad on the frig door.  The dogs thought we were under attack!  LOL!

I have to say thank you to all of you who commented on my new profile pic on FB yesterday.  I was overwhelmed by all the responses I got!  I don't know if it's because I look that good now, or because I looked that bad then (LOL!), but I surely did appreciate each word of encouragement!  Thank you all so much.

Well, I must fix some breakfast now, and then get started on my project for the day.  Hoping to see Chris and the baby this afternoon!

Love you all!

Morning Monica and OFF family!!!

Well we are not going today for training we go tomorrow now instead. Not sure why it was changed butit was. Rick said they called yesterday and said wait til wednesday now. OK.

Manager of the store came up to me yesterday and said he heard I was leaving. I said yes I was. I told him I tried to talk to him but he seemed to be busy each time I had a chance to talk. But he wished me the best and said congrats and would miss me. I thought to myself yeah right he knows the food court is going to hell fast without me running it!!! He is going through hell right now because people are quiting left and right!!! Gee you think because they are treated like crap? Maybe so!!! I know I had enough and am glad I had the job offer for me to get out of there!!! But anyhow I thanked him and said I would still be there for the Christmas party and in and out for things we needed before we left for good. He said great!

Got a couple more rows made last night for the afghan and that is great!! so much to do in the next few weeks and still need to make another one yet before Christmas!!! I keep telling myself I can do it!!! I hope I am right!!! With training and moving and unpacking after the move...omg!!

Well I AM thinking of you all I am just not posting much...I do come to read every day!!! So with that said I need to get going!!! Lots to get done today!!

Thoughts and Prayers for all that need them!!!

HUGS

Good morning Monica and everyone...

I am between appointments so I thought I would check in. I had fasting labs taken at 10:30 and will have my mamogram done at 11:30. The docor's office is across the street and the hospital is a block down the street. That makes it convenient to run home between appointments. I coudn't wait to get home and have something to drink. I hadn't had anything since 10:00 last night.

That is about it for me. Kind of a lazy day today and that is great!!
Nic went down to the basement and brought a huge box of his toys up. He wanted to show Gracie the kinds of things he had to play with when he was a little boy. I don't know who is enjoying it more Nic or Grace!!
I am enjoying there chatter.

Wishing you all a good day. Prayers for those in need.
Hope Mag's surgery went well. Sending up special prayers for her.

Love and hugs to all....connie d

Hi Monica and my OFF family:

Slept late today and really needed it ... actually got up once before 10 a.m. when the phone rang, thought about getting up and out to do something, but I was so tired I went back to bed. Miss Juliette came in with me and we snuggled, she purring loudly and getting me back to sleep.

Still haven't heard back from the first job; got another call from a guy in Minnesota yesterday. This job I could do from anywhere, pay is the same as I'm making here. So I have to take their editing test and send some references. So we shall see what's going from there.

Good of you, Monica, to send some warm stuff to your son. It does get cold in Montana, but depending on where he is, there are the warming Chinook winds over the mountains and it's not as bad as it might seem. Yes, he will need a warm coat and boots but really, Montana isn't as bad as the Dakotas.

I got a nice compliment yesterday; the sports editor in Lafayette likes me, and he usually doesn't like anyone but one person to do his section. So now he likes me and the assistant manager. For someone who no one wanted to work with two years ago, I've come a long way.

Well, I've got to get in the shower. Good to read everything. Have a good day.

Eileen, Isn't it nice to get a kind word or two once in a while? I try to remember how good it feels and to pass it own. I'm following your job search. This "work from anywhere" job sounds kind of interesting. Maybe you can get you a little motor home and travel all over the country!
