I'm happy to be at work this morning - sharing my day with friends here.
Talked to a friend (male) last evening for almost an hour and he gave me a
new prospective about the breakup on Saturday --- I felt so much better. Too
bad he's so far away in Philadelphia, but hey we're just good friends anyway.

Morning Trish, OFFr Friends,
Hope you have a nice visit with your daughter and the munchkins.
I had a busy weekend, Saturday Tony was down, we went to breakfast, took Roxie to get her nails clipped, then lunch, watched Penn State game, then my roommate Helen came home and wanted to take me to dinner, we went to Longhorn, where I got a wonderful Trout dinner, it was stuffed with lobster and grilled corn and a little bit of bacon, along with a salad and sweet potato, I took half of that home, after that we went to an AA meeting and then home. I got up yesterday and got right into cleaning house and then had a friend over to do some step work, which pretty much took up the afternoon, then I finished some stuff around the house and finally sat down at my computer, where I discovered that something was amiss, but seeing as I had a meeting on my schedule, I left it went to the meeting and then came home in time for kick off time, which wound up to be a very disappointing game, in between I made a healthy version of Mac n Cheese that will last a while and wound up on the telephone until the game was almost over, while the tech tried fixing my computer and for which we ultimately wound up reloading it, then I went to bed, where Miss Roxie had already plopped herself right in the middle of where I normally sleep, so I had to reconfigure myself (lol), cause she wasn't moving. . . slept great until that alarm clock went off at almost 6 this morning, got up packed my food, showered and rolled out the door to get myself here, I'm at work and today should not be too bad, other than the fact that I'm tired. Will go to a noontime AA meeting and then possibly visit a friend at a rehab where she is rehabbing from back surgery she had last week, but that depends on whether or not they release her today.
So there you have it a snapshot of my weekend and day, sure hope you all have a great day and for those of you facing the more challenging aspects of living, I wish you all the strength and peace you need to meet those challenges.

Good morning all!
GRRRR! I've been sitting here for the last hour trying to upload a new photo of myself and I just can't do it on this laptop for some reason. It just keeps hanging up halfway through the upload. SO, if you want to see a new photo of me at size 16, go look at my profile pic on FB. When I get home, I'll try again on my big computer. Maybe I can update my photo then.
I'm also feeling a little frustrated with my darn cell phone today. This is not a good tech day for me, I think.
Mom and I survived our trip to Houston and back yesterday, but boy, was it a long, long day. Whew. Hit some major construction on I-10 just before we got to Houston and crawled along for 4 miles, took about 40 minutes! So that was fun.
Was glad we went to the visitation. I got to see my aunts and my cousins, which is always nice. I just don't see them often enough. Wasn't real close to this particular uncle, but it was good that we made the effort. Wish we could have also gone to the funeral today, but it just wasn't possible.
Today is my hubby's 67th birthday! I am missing him even more than usual this morning. I'll be so glad when he gets home next weekend.
So, that's all I know today, except I'm not getting back in the car today for anything. LOL. Hope you all have a wonderful start to your week today. Safe travels, Trish! Hug the munchkins for us!

I am doing laundry as usual on Monday's only 3 small loads so that isn't bad. I can get through that pretty quickly.
I had a restful weekend and am feeling much better today. I know I had a reaction from the injection but it sure has helped my hip. In about three weeks they are going to do one in my shoulder. I don't look forward to being sick a week but if the pain goes away it will be worth it!!
My friend Mary is doing great after her double mastectomy. She is glad it is all over and looking forward to going home soon. My daughter, Carrie went and saw Mary over the weekend and gave me a full report. Thanks for all the prayers and good vibes and such!

I had a busy morning. Cleaning fairy was here, and while she was here, I cleaned out my paper basket and my magazine rack, took down my Halloween decorations and put up my few Thanksgiving decorations. I'm loading them now and will post in a minute or two. But now I'm beat and my knee hurts. Too much movement. And I got up too early because someone called at 8:30 a.m. and woke me up.
Still waiting to hear back on the interview. The guy said I should hear about arrangements today; the exec editor was making them. I guess I need to sit tight.
