Sunny Saturday What's Up?
Appreciate the good tip!
then left -- he was very honest, and said he was so sorry but there just wasn't any "spark" there. I am
hurt, naturally, but I am a strong woman and I'll get over this . He's really a wonderful man, and I'm sure he'll find someone who knocks his socks off someday. Meanwhile, I am sad and teary eyed,
but not completely broken hearted.
No more dating sites for me.....If God wants me to have a man in my life, he's gonna have to do the work!
That's all for me today -- sorry,
Pat r.
Trish...sorry you had to get your sleep interrupted to do laundry. Hope you can get a nap later.
Pat....sorry things didn't workout for you. Your man is out there somewhere. God will lead you to him. I quit the dating sites as well. Too many men out there just wanting sex and nothing else.
I have many male friends so if I want a man to talk with I contact them.
Monica....glad you are back and that you had a wonderful time!!
I know there are others I want to post too but am drawing a blank. Wishing everyone the best today!!
I am laying low today. The pain is subsiding some so that is a good sign. I will just follow my doctors orders and I should feel better soon.
Prayers for all those in need. Special prayers for some.
Love and hugs for all....connie d
Today is fall house cleaning. I was up at 5:00 and drank coffee, read a little, then by 6:30, I figured it was time to get started. I guess I have cleaned every nook and cranny in this house. My house smells like pinesol and murphy's oil. My granddaughter is here and she has helped me fold clothes and pick up things. I actually had her dusting book shelves--but, she is only 4, so you can imagine how much help she is giving me.
Wed. night, I got a call from my sister, the one who raised me, and she said that she was cleaning her attic and found some more of my things and did I want them. So, she dropped them off a little bit ago and my granddaughter and I have spent the last hour going through three boxes and one sack of old clothes and things that I apparently thought were valuable enough to keep. Remember Peasant blouses, bell bottom pants, and leather purses with fringe? I called my daughter and she says she cannot wait to get her hands on the clothes. Here's a hint: my daughter is almost six feet tall and I am not quite 5'5" and am sure that when I wore these clothes, I may have been shorter. But, she wants them, so she can take them home with her. Either my sister has a really good attic, or the moths didn't like the taste of my clothes because they are in suprisingly good condition.
Well, that's about it for me. Cleaning, looking through old things, and that's about it.
Evening OFF family...here I am late again...lol been doing things around here and some shopping for things we need and also getting Rick some snow pants for when he has to clean snow at the new complex we will be moving to. Now all he really needs is some warm boots and he is set to clean snow!!! Thought about some of those strap on things for the bottoms of our shoes/boots for when we have to walk on snow/ice so we do not fall. Saw some in a catalog and Rick said he saw some in the store we were at today. Guess we will go back to the store and save the shipping costs. same price that way and we will have them right away.
I also became the biggger person today and asked Rick to call his mom and daughter and ask them over for Thanksgiving dinner. This way we can part on good terms. He called them and they agreed. Now to see IF they show up.
Thats about all my happenings for today. Need to get back to working on my afghans if I want them done in time for Christmas with all the moving and stuff going on!!!
Thoughts and Prayers for all that need them!!!
HUGS
