Today I am thankful for books and the ability to read them!  I don't really know when I fell in love with books, but it must have been very, very early in life.  I remember my mother reading to me as a pre-schooler and my shelf of my beloved books.  In fact, I can't remember a single day in my life when I didn't have a book to read.  I am proud to say that I passed that love of reading on to my own girls, and now I'm trying again with Benny.  I truly love escaping into another world for a few hours each day.  So I guess maybe I'd better also be thankful for the authors and illustrators who create that wonderful world of words!

Today I am grateful for California. Love the sunshine, good weather most of the year, lack of snow, hurricanes, tornados, ... Have no problem with earthquakes having lived with them all my life. I love that it's November and I'm planning on BBQing chicken for dinner, and I can. I've lived elsewhere, but I always come home to California.

Today, I am thankful that my son, Sean, is not longer using heroin.  I wish he would stop drinking, but he is alive, and made it safe from Pittsburgh to his friend's hospital in Jersey today.

Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.
