Stormy Wednesday

Hey y'all:

Actually, it was a stormy Tuesday night, which means our server got hit and went down and we had to deal with our IT folks ... took a long time for them to get us up and running again, so we were late. Plus, they then tried to do something to my computer and screwed it up, so I was down longer than the others in my team ... sitting there with five pages to do and waiting for Mutt and Jeff to get it working again. Last year, they laid off the really good, smart IT person. Wish he was back.

Anyway, I didn't get home until after 1 and I was hungry ... but I'm short of some good stuff; I stopped at an all-night gas station hoping to pick up milk, but all they had was regular milk, not skim. And nothing else there I would eat. I didn't feel like going to Walmart ... too much walking and I just wanted to get home.

Since then, I've been applying for jobs and sending out references for another job that I already applied for that wanted references.

Anyway, off to bed ... tired and achy and still have a bit of a headache that started yesterday and hasn't really left. Have a good one.

Morning Eileen, OFFr's,

Been up since 5, had my cuppa and prepared a peppers, onion and feta eggbeater omlet to take with me for breakfast and am now about to get in the shower.  Hoping you get a new job that you can be happy in, it sure does stink when we have to work and the environment is not pleasant, but at least we are employed and that is a good thing.

Speaking of which, I'd best get my butt moving, plans today include an AA meeting and a visit to someone who just had her surgery 2 days ago, if she is still there, she had a minor complication and they had to convert to an open procedure, so I'm thinking she will still be there tonight, after that, it's home to hang with the Roxie girl.  Just another, less than exciting, day for me and that is fine.

Wishing peace and strength to those of you facing the serious life challenges that you are and hoping each and every one of you have the best possible of days!

Hugs, Laureen

I teach on MWF, so every morning on these days, I spend doing some form of prep.  I also will grade papers today and tomorrow.  My life, though hectic, is pretty predictable.  My students are always surprised when they walk into my office to find me there and I ask, where else would I be.  They tell me their other professors are never in their office.  Of course, I know students have been known to stretch the truth a little.  HA.  I also have student workers who are in my office most of the day, so my office is never really closed.

Well, here's hoping you all have a good day.

Moring ladies, boy going to bed at 7 p sure akes me get up early. I always did love my mornings. Eileen, I want you to know you are always in y thoughts & prayers for a better job & less pain. You do work so hard. Laureen, I hope you back is healing, I know you miss the gym.

Yea, today is my last radiation, it has been been giving me bad heartburn. I gotta say all the Doc. & nurses & techs have been awesome with me, except for the one I kickes out of my room, & banned him. I did get the surgeon I wanted, & he remebered me from 11 years ago.

If I repeat yself, please forgive me. No more appts. until Dec 1st, then to discuss chemo. not my favorite, but I made a promise to do all I could to fight this.

Gotta tell tell you about my kids, the are aking arrangements to have our driveway plowed all winter, & having more wood delivered for our outdoor wood stove. All cut & ready to load. Don't know what we did to deserve such great kids, but we are so blessed.

Anyone heard how Nancy did yesterday? She has been on my mind all night. How about  Bev? Or Jackie. Ladies, if you you are there, please just check in, let us know you are ok. And anyone else I may have missed.

Have a wonderful day all!!! Nan

Good morning Eileen and my OFF sistas!

Only popping in to say "hi".  Leaving to go pick up Mom here in a few minutes, and then we'll be driving to San Antonio today.  Wish me luck spending 6 hours in the car with the dogs and my Mom!  LOL!  I'm going to need some extra patience today.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.  Love you all!

 Good Morning Eileen and OFF,
I have a busy day ahead.  Bible Study this morning.  Then, my GYN exam.  Then, my psychiatrist appointment.  Finally, a CT of my sinuses and an x-ray of my foot.  I will glow after all that radiation.  LOL

Blessings,
Trish

Good morning Eileen and everyone.....

Eileen....I hope you get some relief from the headache soon.

As for me....I saw a new pain doctor yesterday....WOW what a good looking man! He said I  need to continue with the Vicodin and Flexarel. I am glad because that combination works well for me. He took an x-ray of my hip. He then decided I needed an injection of cordizone and something else. I  forgot what it was. He said in a month he will do the same for my shoulder.  I pray this helps with some the pain. He said not to walk around anymore then necessary for a couple days. I will try but with Grace that won't be easy.

I am praying for all those on OFF who are having surgery and other medical procedures met. It seems like so many of us are in pain.

My daughter Jamie made it back from her vacation late last night. I am so happy she is back!! She brought me a beautiful necklace and a bracelet. She said she has other things but they are being shipped. Sounds like Jamie and my daughter Carrie really had a great time together. Mission accomplished!!

I am praying for all of you on OFF who are having surgery and other medical needs met. Special prayers for others as well.

We got  a dusting of snow last night. It has gotten pretty cold...I am freezing!! (thus more pain of course)

Wishing you all a great day!!

LOVE and HUGS to all......connie d

Haven't been on here in a while, but have thought of you all.....Having a nice relationship via phone with a new gentleman...guess that's been taking up my extra time.....I have reservations about him, but we'll see.

Doing well holding my weight down -- just need to keep it in the downward zone.  Am actually where I was 2 yrs ago.

Prayers and good thoughts to all, those having surgery or other issues.
