Avoid: Mad Dogs, Hawks, Perverts, and Dollar Bills
For those of you *****ad these post but don't exercise, I hope you come to terms with something that will get you off the sidelines and into the game. When I talk about terms, I mean the best possible way that you can exercise without doing damage. Most people start a new exercise program going really fast and strong, but after a few days, they fizzle out, get sore muscles, or become injured. Today, start your exercise problem in tiny baby steps. If you are going to walk, do some leg stretches first to get some oxygen rich blood to your large leg muscles. Also, hydrate yourself before you exercise, during, and after. Don’t end your exercise time abruptly; start decreasing your workout slowly toward the end so you can ease your heart back to its resting rate. Finally, if you are going to walk outside and alone, choose your route carefully, take a phone with you, and have a what if strategy. What if a giant dog comes out of the bushes? What if a huge hawk mistakes you for road kill? What if a nasty pervert ask you for directions? Finally, what if you see a dollar bill floating in some nasty pond scum?
My exercise for today is the Zumba. I can hardly wait to get out on that floor and do the butt bounce.
Today, I hope you come to terms with your exercise needs and find one that works for you and that you can do without causing body damage.
What if the nasty pervert comes out of the pond scum???? Just wonderin'
Well, lots of storms coming in this afternoon(I'm sure you know this, Jeannie) and my work day will be ending about 2:00. I'm hoping the storms aren't bad enough that I can stop at the gym for a quick jaunt on the treadmill or bike. If it's really bad I'll need to get home to avoid traffic tie ups and be safer than messing with bad weather/crazy drivers.
Have a great day everyone
Susan
