Not much going on with me today. Grace to look after and the dishwasher to unload. Going to try to relax some as yesterday was a crazy day!!
I can't remember if I told you that my daughter needs Gluten Free food. I scouted around and found a brownie mix, cake mix and frosting. Grace of course made the brownies and birthday cake with a little help from be....LOL My daughter was so happy. She hasn't had cake in years!!!!
Nic is on his way to Minneapolis for his scans and such. His appointments start at 1:00PM. Please continue to pray that no new cancer is found.....thank you so much!
I am going to hop over to Facebook now. If I don't have some of you for friends on there please look me up and friend me....thanks!

Happy birthday, Trish, and hi to my OFF family:
We don't do a lot for Christmas in my family, Trish. We give to the kids and my mom, and then we do a gift exchange among the adults ... everyone gets one present. Much cheaper. We have a $50 limit on those gifts. It's fun watching the two boys open their gifts (especially Sammie ... he's such a character).
It's a gorgeous fall day ... 75 and sunny, bright blue sky and some of the leaves are changing here finally.
I didn't do Halloween ... I was at work and very busy. I had eight pages and didn't have time to think. Got done in time without a problem. Woke up at about 7 this morning with my back hurting me. Ended up taking a pain pill, reading for awhile and then going back to sleep til noon.
Well, that's all for me. Have a good day.

Hello OFF-
Late posting today. Slept in this morning, guess I was tired from all the driving and getting the RV out of storage. Was lazy today and met a friend for lunch. Then ran some errands but avoided vacuuming those cobwebs. Meeting another friend for dinner tonight.
I haven't seen my Texas friends for almost 6 mos so many of them notice the difference from the WLS. That helps a lot and inspires me.
Tomorrow, I'll hook up the car to the RV and drive it to Corpus Christi for repairs to my frig. Actually to replace the existing frig would be $3500. To get a moderately priced RV frig (runs on gas and electricity) is about $1200. Neither quote includes labor. Found a nice 4.5 cubic foot Fridgedaire at Lowes for $250. Think I'm going to have them remove the old frig, cap the gas line, frame up a new space and just put the electric fridge. I certainly don't need a big frig since surgery. Just need a small freezer so that seems to be the solution to my problem. Just have to satisfy myself that they can secure it from falling out while driving.
Vickie you asked what I did at the Wildlife Refuge. This is my 7th winter volunteering for the FWS. In the past I have worked the front desk, bookstore, done bird surveys, established a filing system for them, cleaned up a purchase order file system, etc... At Anahuac they have heard about my filing ability so I think my major job will be setting up their filing system. I may also have to work the visitor center one day a week. They just told me that I only have to work 24 hours a week. In the past it has been 32! They lost a lot of their paperwork due to Hurricane Ike so I should only have to deal with 5 years worth of paper rather than 30 like the other Refuge where I volunteered. Yes I hook the car up to the RV and drive it myself. I pushed my comfort zone 8 years ago and bought this mobile money pit on a whim. Now I'm stuck with it and it's where I live during the winters since my cabin in Maine is too isolated and not very habitable in the winter.
I'm stressing today about the Frig and want to do some comfort eating. Also stressing about being near the old refuge. Did not leave there last spring in a happy mood. So I'm anxious to get settled back into some kind of routine for me. I know this will pass and I'm working hard to eat mindfully and healthy!
