 Hi Carla,
I just got home from getting bloodwork done.  Last night, my family took me out for dinner for my birthday, which is Tomorrow.

Today is visiting with a friend, and crocheting the bedspread, which is getting big.

Hope everyone is well, and being blessed.

Hugs,
Trish

Good afternoon, my OFF sistas!

So much going on here today, and I'm bringing up the rear.

Monica!  So proud of you!  I knew you would make it to this day!  When I first started posting on this forum, back in late Jan or early Feb, you were barely 100 days days along.  It has been such a joy to watch those days string together.  You are a true inspiration and success!  Congratulations!

Well, my Halloween is off to a late start today.  My little Patty Kate is usually my alarm clock.  The minute it gets light, she's up scratching on the door to be let out.  Last night, for some reason, she was up at 4 a.m., which really sort of ticked me off.  But then we got back in bed and fell back asleep and the next time I looked at the clock it was 11 a.m.!  I never sleep that late!  Lulu, bless her heart, never asks to go outside, she just waits for me to get up.  So she held it from about 10 p.m. to 11 a.m.  I could never do that!

I'm sure I've shared this, but I broke my right ankle rather badly about 10 years ago.  Got all sorts of pins and metal in there holding things together.  One of the reasons I can't jog or do Zumba is my ankle won't take it.  About once a year it will decide to "act up", as my Mama would say.  I started limping around here yesterday and by last night, it was truly hurting me.  This morning I have a sharp stabbing pain whenever I put pressure on it.  I used to worry that one of the pins had sheared off or shifted or something, but I've had it xrayed several times, and that's not it.  I guess it's just my own private little Halloween gremlin visiting me today.  LOL!

I was super excited when I stepped on the scale this morning!  I'm in the 180's again!  I haven't been this low on the scale in 10+ years.  When my husband and I took our first cruise in 2001, I remember I weighed about 185 and wore a size 16.  Today I weighed 189 and I'm wearing a size 16.  This is a very happy day for me.

I thought of a lot of comments I wanted to make as I was reading your posts, but I've forgotten most of them now.  As Connie says, CRS!  LOL!

Hope everyone has a very happy Halloween and safe trick or treating tonight!  Stay out of the candy!

Love you all!

 Vickie

Happy Halloween. 5 years ago today I was dressed up as a bariatric patient. Trick Or Treat! I never imagined all the changes that I would experience. Most have been good, some challenging.

Trying to learn a new way of life was often difficult. But I had YOU for encouragement and to give me advice.

Congrats on your 5-year surgiversary, Annette! You, too, are an amazing woman, you and all your black cats.

I finally got some sleep last night and feel somewhat normal. Had my morning coffee protein shake (making my own now, can't get the protein I mix in my coffee, so here's my recipe:

1 scoop of vanilla protein
1 tbsp of instant coffee
4 oz skim milk
some ice cubes
SF caramel
SF kahlua

Put in blender til frothy and ice is crushed ... yummy! Lots of protein and little carbs or calories

My Halloween will be at work. I will go as a copy editor (I have some Halloween t-shirts and earrings, will wear those).

Have a good day everyone.

Hi OFF family and happy evening.
Very busy day for me and like Connie I went and saw the Halloween parade for the Elementry school children. The teachers were all dressed too and marched in the parade.
Rozzie was Princess Laila and her brother Remi was R2D2 both homemade costumes by mommy. The babies weren't dress yet but will be for trick or treating.
Gotta run...busy day here! Hugs and prayers for all. Debbie
