I'm with you gang!!

It takes 21 days to change a habit...according to a great shrink I adore.
Well eating and changing our eating habits is hard.
Food is always a way our society celebrates.
I try to stay away from the table of food and socialize with people. If I'm standing around a table of food it's very easy to graze.
In the summer it's easy, I find kids and get them to play outside and I'm with them.

Now the Winter holidays are upon us. Halloween is tomorrow.
Here's a challenge for all of us...NO candy, make that effort and if there is any leftover candy get rid of it. Out of the house. Let's detox our houses of Halloween candy. We can do this. Take the leftover candy to an area shelter.

So with Holiday baking and who doesn't love cookies/breads/and other stuff. I've been known to put on a surgical mask so I don't eat the cookie dough...oh yeah...I'm one of those people! LOL
Well even with the mask on after I'm done, I go look in the mirror and your wouldn't believe how many little touches of dough are on my mask!
Oh yeah...a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!

One thing I can to about all of us is that we are positive upbeat people. When one is down we can pick them up and carry them along. We will get through the holidays!
We are women and we are strong!!

I'm all about the detoxing of the house.  My weakness are not sweets, they make me sick, but I love crackers.  So, I am purging the house of crackers.  I can eat a package of crackers and peanut butter without batting an eye.  So, yeah.  Let's do that.  Let's purge away.

There's nothing left in my house TO purge! No crackers, chips, dried cherries or even a sliver of dark chocolate. My "after dinner treat" was my iron tablet...lol

I'm a double whammy...I love sweets and crackers and PB! or crackers and cheese.
Oh yeah...Detox the house!!!

Debbie, I don't do Halloween anymore because of the candy threat. Not only do we not need it, even if Gary takes it to work the next day I still get my paws into it before the kids start coming.

I also kind of refuse to contribute to kids having access to all that junk, one year I asked Gary if we could give out fun pencils or something. He was afraid that our house would get egged.....lol

Yep, they probably would egg your house!
Today I came into work and my co-worker on the first shift brought in M&M's and all other types of good stuff...UGH! I didn't eat one and thank goodness she took it home with her!

Hubby and I bought the halloween candy but we rarely have trick or treaters, so he will take them to work with him.  I've tossed out the crackers and the banana chips.
