 Connie,
When I finish the bedspread, I will put it on my bed, and take a pic while standing on a step stool.  It is a square, like a closed granny square, with red, hot pink, soft pink and white stripes.  Isabel picked out the yarn and then told me she wanted a bedspread.  Praise God the yarn went on sale at a craft store around here, AC Moore.  It is not a nationwide chain, but we have two stores near me.  They just do not carry the hot pink, so I went to Joanns and found it there.  I sure wish Izzy had  a twin bed.  No, she has to have a double bed.  Thank the Lord it's not a queen or king.

Hugs,
Trish

Trish--have you ever tried "crochet on the double"?  It's a technique using a double ended crochet hook.  I decided to try it with this Red Heart yarn and it's working great!  The stiffer yarn works beautifully with this stitch.  The scarf is gonna be red on one side and navy on the other.  Really cool!  Some Special little athlete is gonna love it.

Good afternoon, ya'll.
I have been in the baking mood ever since I finished my costumes. I have always started my Christmas cookie baking about now. When my kids were younger I would make cookie boxes made out of sugar cookies and fill them with more cookies for all their teachers and the neighbors. Then when the kids got jobs I would fill those big aluminum turkey roasting pans with breads, cookies, fudge, dipped candies and little cupcakes. One year between our daughter and our then DIL, I filled 30 of those pans with goodies! I even bought a new cookie cookbook Friday. I have to get these thoughts out of my head!! Or, bake some stuff to send to school with my DIL. But I know I'll wind up eating some.
Had 2 folks come over this AM to alter their costumes. The party is tonight. WHY, do they wait til the last day to try the dang costumes on? We decided I should make them about a 12/14 for the girls and xlarge for the boys, knowing it is easier to take in than let out. No one said anything so I thought wow, everything fit perfectly! Nope, they just didn't try anything on til this morning. I'll bet money somebody shows up here around 5 needing a tweek! Oh well, I'll be here.
No body better interrupt my Ducks game though!
Everyone have a fantabulous day.

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

I had problems sleeping last night. I was so tired, went to bed about 11:30 ... then got up several times with night sweats and in pain. Got up at 3:30 in pain and sweating, so finally got up, got an ice pack and read for awhile while I waited for my pain pill to take effect. Then I slept pretty well.

Back to work tonight. It's always pretty busy on Saturday nights. No LSU football tonight, though. Otherwise, just the same stuff. It's 66 here, a cool, crisp, sunny fall day.

I need to get in the shower and have some lunch. Have a good day.

Good Afternoon OFF family,
Just a quick stop by and back to work.
Had date night with hubby last night, went out to eat then went grocery shopping.

Didn't get my small bowel follow through xrays cuz no one told me I had to schedule it, so now it will be done Nov. 17th. Ugh! My doc told me to drink a bottle of Mg Citrate the night before and the xray tech said nope, don't need to do that. I had the lemon flavored but dang it's not the most tasty thing to drink!

On Friday hubby and I are doing the Christmas Bazaare here at the hospital where I work. All homemade stuff. Hopefully we can sell his walking sticks and canes and some other art work he does.

Nothing new with me, haven't exercised all week due to pain so my goal is to exercise more next week. Hugs Debbie

I read Jeannie's wonderful post after I had written something here and I was so ashamed, I deleted it.  Let's just say I need a head adjustment.....been doing so well -- actually had lost 17 lbs, but it's slowly creeping back on and I AM THE REASON.

Gonna do better, gang.
