Sunday What's Up?

 Good Morning OFF Family,
Well, I was up late.  Had the entire family over for Chinese take-out and Scrabble.  I lost both games.  Anywho, after everyone left, I had clean up and could not wind down after I went to bed,

My sponsor took me to an AA meeting yesterday.  Mom took me to get my toaster, and I picked up a few other things at Walmart.  How exciting to be able to go shopping.

Today, I am going to my nephew's Special Olympics soccer game.  I went down to the basement and got my camp chair for someone to throw in their car for me to sit on, so I am not on my feet the entire time.  So excited to go out.  Depending on when my sponsor wants to go to a meeting, I may be able to go to one too,

I am grateful that my foot is not hurting as much as it could.  I am truly blessed.  I hope everyone is able to count their blessings today.

Hugs,
Trish

Good morning, all!

Trish, so glad you were able to get out for a bit yesterday.  I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to be housebound.  Is Utley doing okay?  Is he using the little yard for potty breaks?  I know how much you enjoy taking him for walks.  Patience!  It won't be much longer.

So, I am up early today.  Woke up hot and couldn't go back to sleep.  Just one of the joys of being over fifty!  LOL!

SO much to do today!  It's a big travel day for us, 6 hour drive back home today.  I've already got the laundry going.  Cleaned the frig out last night and sent most of my perishables home with Chris.  Still have to sweep and vacuum and then pack.  Ugh.

Well, I got the bathroom floor tile grouted yesterday afternoon.  It was not quite as horrible a job as laying the damn tiles, but it was a close second!  Whew!  I am so very thankful that that's over with!  Never again.  As soon as it gets light, I'll take a picture of the finished floor and add it to the album on FB.  The pink tiles look so pretty set off with the white grout.  My knees and back will never be the same, I'm afraid.  Even with the knee pads, it was an agonizing job.  Had to have a pain pill to get to sleep last night.

Anyway, hubby was trying his best to get the new potty installed last night after dinner, but we're missing a piece.  We think we bought it, but we can't find it.  He'll have to make a quick run into Wal Marts or Lowes this morning to pick it up.  It will be so nice to have two working potties again!  We'll have to finish up the bathroom next time we come.  Finish the walls, paint, and then we'll finally get to install the pretty new cabinets and sink, mirror, light fixture, etc.  I can't wait for that!  We're a close family, but sharing a single bathroom is something we've never had to do before.  I guess we're spoiled.  We've always had at least 2 bathrooms!

Had to say goodbye to sweet little Benny last night.  Oh, he's giving out hugs and kisses now.  He just melts my heart!  I wish I could be here to see him go trick or treating on Halloween.  But it's not long until Thanksgiving and we'll all be together again for that.

Monica, I saw the picture of Miss Lincoln on FB.  She's adorable.  So very sweet!  I know you can't wait to hold her!

I'd better go flip the laundry and see what else I can get done before the sun comes up!  Have a blessed and beautiful Sunday, my sistas!

 Hi Vickie,
Utley is getting used to the yard.  It is big enough for him to get out and get a little exercise and fresh air while he does his business.  I do miss walking him.  I was trying to get into a daily routine of walking him down the river.  I did take him for a good walk there the day before my surgery.  I hope I am able to get back into the swing during the mild Fall temps, before the frigid air hits.

Hugs,
Trish

Good mornin' ya'll.
Well, our OR grandson lost his football game, but he played well. Yesterday we went to Walmart. He had a list! He is so organized. Our daughter said get him what he wants/needs, she'll send me a check. I love spending someone elses money. He got some new tshirts, unders, toothepaste, etc., and a boat load of snacks and gatorade and stuff like that. He bought a small coffee pot so he can have ho****er for his ramen noodles and such. So, after we get it all home he starts wondering how he is gonna get it all up to his room, and where he will put it all. He has made rank and has his own room now, but it's still not very big! Right now I have him and one NC grandson asleep here. I don't wanna start the bacon cause it will wake them up. Not sure how late they were up watching TV. We have to leave at 3:30 to take him back to Camden. The DH wants to go, so that means at least 2 potty stops. Then grandson wants to eat at Phats a restaurant we ate at before, and he has to be checked back in by 9. DH and I will spend the night at the Holiday Inn Express, cause I'm not driving 4 hours at that time of night!
Vickie, sounds like you are making some good progress on your remodel job. You know as soon as you go buy the part you need, you will find the other one!
Everyone have a fantastic day!

 Connie,
I am like you.  Even though I have constant pain, just the lessening of it is something to be grateful for.  I hope your pain continues to lessen with each new day.

Love,
Trish

I am with the two of you.  I live in constant pain from arthritis with degenerative disks in my back and arthritis in my foot which is malformed from a hip-to-toe cast left on for too long when I was a child.  whenever I have some relief, I am very grateful.

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

Glad you could get out, Trish. I know what that's like, having had two knee replacement surgeries on the same knee and living alone. I was fortunate to have a friend living nearby who came by every day and picked up my mail and stopped by, otherwise I think I would have gone stark raving mad.

Election night was busy and boy, did we have a lot of food. The copy desk ate early, we had too much food and I ate too much. Started to feel like I was going to dump and had some peppermint tea, which settled my stomach down. The exec editor and her husband brought in two huge boxes of fried chicken ... there was so much left over it was unbelievable. I still have half of my baked ziti (well, baked rotini ... didn't realize I had the wrong pasta, but it was still good). I'll have dinner for the rest of the week.

Talked with my brother on Skype; he's going to see his grandson and son and DIL in Dallas on Friday for Alexander's first birthday; I wasn't invited, but I understand they're trying to keep it small. Just grandparents and DIL's sister. And I don't have the weekend off anyway, so I'm cool with it.

Well, I need to get in the shower. Wish I could see the Bears game in London, but of course, we don't get that game. We have the Falcons-Lions game because it's a regional thing. The Saints play tonight.

Anyway, need to get in the shower. Connie, glad your pain has lessened a bit. I'm not too bad tonight; hurt in some places not as bad as others. It's worse when I get home at night after my knee as been down all night.

Have a good day.

Hi Trish and all,

This is the third day I have tried to post. I'm a little frustrated with computers that have a mind of their own. I have enjoyed staying at my friend's house with the 3 dogs,  but I'm ready to get back home and prepare for my knee replacement. They will be home sometime between the 27th and the 30th. They are driving down on the 1 which is a beautiful, scenic route, but takes much longer. I'm not sure if they realize how much time that highway takes. Driving home from Oregon is a long trip.

Trish and all who are managing life with pain. I hope there is healing for those who need it and solutions for those who haven't found an answer yet. Will be praying.

    Vickie,
The bathroom is really starting to come together. Good job on the tile. I have 2 bathrooms that need old (cheap) tile taken up and bigger size with better quality tiles.

I've had questions lately about my weight lost. Here is the weight loss journey. I lost 33 pounds before surgery and 114 since my surgery. (9 months, 1 week, and 4 days, but who's counting? lol)

Everyone take care and be blessed.    Mag

Evening OFF family....well I had to work all day so I am late getting on here...wasnt going to post but here I am...I work all day tomorrow also so I better stop in while I have a chance.

Weather was nice today so pain eased up a little but then I had to close the Cafe and wella...I hurt again as usual...GRRRRRR I have a few people stop and ask me whats wrong and I tell them about what the dr tells me is wrong with me and they are shocked. They tell me they will pray for me to get better or atleast have the pain ease up. I see rain is in the forcast again so this pain is going to be back again I assume? YUCK!!!

Bandit and Buster are starting to play more. Buster just got squirted. He was trying to climb the bird cage again. Will he ever learn that is off limits? LOL He has also found my plants!! GRRRRRRR oh he has a blast with them!!! NOT when I see him near them!!! They are not posionous to cats. Just makes me upset he will not leave them alone!!! Got to get used to a cat in the house again is all.

Well just wanted to stop in and say I am still alive.

Thoughts and Prayers to those that need them!!

HUGS
