Feeling good this morning after a wonderful night's rest.

Had an hour long conversation last evening with an ex-girl friend of Jim's.....she contacted me on FB after she saw my post about being "played"......seems like he told her the same lies he told me......WOW he
sure is a creep.  Anyway, that is over and done and I'm moving on.

Off to work this morning -- looking forward to being with my friends there.

Almost finished with "The autobiography of Mrs. Tom Thumb".....fiction but a great read.

Have a wonderful day all -- prayers for those who need them and hugs all around....I am so very thankful for all of my friends here!

The only good thing about this whole situation is that I've lost 17 lbs. and at the wt I was 2 yrs ago!!!!!

Pat,

Funny thing about life, we get to a certain place in life and think that if we are not real now, then when?  Unfortunately, some people never get real and don't play by the same rules.  If your instincts tell you something, pay attention and follow what you know to be true to yourself.  His loss, you gain oodles of self esteem by this, even if it hurts some.

Hugs, Laureen

Good mornin' ya'll.
Yesterday afternoon I got to babysit a cute, tiny, precious 2 month old baby girl. A friend of my DIL's. The baby's Mom warned me that she spits up a lot (projectile style), that she would want to eat at 6 and would definately let me know, that she was usually cranky after she was picked up from day care. Wellllll, that little precious baby slept the entire time in my arms while I rocked her. My DIL came over about 6 and said the Mom wouldn't get any sleep so we should wake her up. So she tried. Jostling her, talking to her, smooching her. That baby did NOT want to wake up. So, I took her back and continued to rock her. She woke up when her Momma got there about 8. I'll be happy to babysit that sweetie again!
I've been so consumed wirh my sewing my poor DH has been neglected. So today we will head out to do a few errands HE has been wanting to do. He doesn't drive so he is at my mercy for that that stuff!
So, everyone have a fantabulous day!

Good morning, Shirley, and my OFF sistas!

Awwww, Grammy, how sweet to hold a little baby and rock her while she's sleeping!

Up early today, even before DH.  I'm ready to tackle laying the tile floor in the guest bath.  I'll just strap on my knee pads, pull up my big girl panties, and DEAL WITH IT!  LOL!

My new slipcover for the sleeper sofa in the play room arrived.  I'm going to go put it on just as soon as I finish this post.  Wish me luck!  I'm sure it won't be as nice as the new upholstery Caroline made for her DIL's couch, but it's bound to look nicer than what I have now.

Also, my new media storage tower arrived yesterday and needs to be assembled.  I needed a better place to keep all these DVD's than a shopping bag on the floor in the living room here.  I'm building a DVD library for Benny.  Each month I buy one or two new DVD's for him.  He's too little to be interested in them now, but one day he'll love coming to Mimi's house and having movies to watch on that gigantic TV Papaw insisted that we buy.  (And that it's taking me 2 years to pay for!  Men and their big screen TV's--what's up with that?)

Hope we get to have a visit with Chris and Benny again this evening.  Plan is for us to go home tomorrow.  I think we might not make it until Sunday, but we'll see how much we can get done today.

Hope you all have a really good T.G.I.F!

vickie,

Might it be easier to sit on a small stool? Knee pads wouldn't help my knees at all. You are a strong woman to tackle these jobs.

I have a very clingy puppy this morning. All he wants to do is sit in my arms. He even joined me in the shower.

Some days I take him to work with me. Sort of pet therapy. Today my client wants to meet her friend in a restaurant - no puppies allowed. Poor little Baxter will have to curl up in our bed and wait until I get home.

He takes more time and energy than all 6 cats. Not bad, just a fact.

Kisses

awwwwww how cute. . .  I remember when I first got Roxie, I think I had her maybe a week or so and I was in the shower and looked down and there she was in the shower with me, I laughed so hard and thought, well you certainly are not like Dillinger, who would run at the idea of such a thing. . .  all I can say is that our 4-legged babies are generally more joy than anything, until the day we have to say goodbye. . .  Enjoy!!!

Hugs, Lil Sis
