Saturday Happenings-What's Up?

 Good Morning OFF Family,
I got up early to go potty, and decided to stay awake, since I got a decent night's sleep.  I listened to a relaxation/visualization recording my therapist and I made at a session, and it helped me tremendously.

Today, Mom is bringing groceries.  She changed her plans yesterday and did not come over.  I am experiencing cabin fever, since I am housebound and can't drive.  I am also going to an AA meeting with my sponsor again.  I can't wait till Thursday.

Good morning all OFF.....I've been absent for quite awhile...life has a way of getting so busy you and overwhelming.....!!!!!!
  I read the posts and boy some of the things that have been going on~ anyway...I have been really busy with school.
   Its been a mad house since our flooding, there are kids still without supplies and then we had a "report" (I think it was a prank) of an intruder in the school so we had a "Lockdown".
   I am praying very hard that "normal" comes back to town soon.
   Then we moved my 81 year old mom to a new apartment, from the house she has owned and lived in for ..mmmm...let me see 50 some years.  Unpacking was so frustrating..she sat and said, "I don't want that , I don't want that either" until I finally asked her "then why is it packed?????"
   I have been reading what everyone has written...I'm happy that some are doing well and I send prayers to all who need them.
   It may be a long time till I get on again...next week I have to go with my mom to see her cardiologist.  She has a pace maker/defibrulator (her 4th pacemaker) and a wire is not working so she is worried.  I'll go with her cause I'm thinking surgery is in her future. 
   So to all...thank you for allowing me to be part of your daily life  and I wish I had more time to make you part of mine but, right now family and school have to come first.  I will try to get online more often but, cannot promise.  But I do sent best wishes and prayers and blessing to all my OFF family.

Sorry to hear your students are still suffering the effects of the flooding.  My social work job is on hold due to the flooding here.  The beauty part is, I still get paid as if I were working 17.5 hours a pay period.  

I will pray for your Mom.  I hope the cardiologist can get to the bottom of it.

Good mornin' ya'll.
Grandson's football team lost yesterday, but he played well and scored a touchdown. I didn't go. DIL only seats 4 comfortably, 5 smushed together. And all those boys have legs that are about 8 feet long!
Anyway, he is now asleep in the spare bedroom. I expect he will sleep quite awhile. No one to wake him up and make him clean his room before breakfast! I have standing rib roast, taters, veggies, rolls and a pumpkin roll for lunch (dinner). Not sure which. Waiting to hear from DIL. Son is hunting. Duck game starts at 4. So we eat before, or during half time.
I am so anxious to actually see him!

Morning all sober 356 days and so proud of me.
New grandchild goes home today. She has been named after a family meeting. Lincoln Jane Lyman. A blend of both family names.
She is a red head so far. Our other 2 Gkids got to meet her yesterday and photo's show a blended happy group.
Another cold morning here. The QVC fleece shugs I ordered arrived. Really nice, roomy, dolman sleeves, waist length. I wore it on our Yoda walk and it was comfy. Got one for our Sara, thought it would be a good item especially for a nursing mom.
Not much planned. I WANT to detail the inside of the truck. Lets see if what I want and what I do happen.
Chiropracter did trigger points on my back yesterday and my muscles are sore. I am truly amazed at how much better I have been feeling since starting treatment. I am taller, walking taller, hands have feeling returning to each of my fingers, arms don't fall asleep while laying down, knees better too. Working on the vertigo also. Hubby had to adjust my cane to a higher position since I am walking tall. I have never been to a chiropracter before and after 40 years in medicine I didn't know what to expect. Seeing the relief and increased range of motion for my hubby made me try. Glad I did.
Have not decided when we are going north. Doctors appointments have to rearranged. I know I want to be back here by 11/11. Big Veterans Day celebration at resort and this is important to us.  Not sure where we will stay. Nice local motel near our daughters house so we can see the Gkids easily. Don't need to stay with her. Our other daughter lives close by @ 18 miles away and she asked us to stay with her. Want to visit friends and other family, we get so caught up in our daily "what we do"...getting set in our ways. Our grandson, Alex, misses grandfather so much. We need to spend good time with him. Poker playing is essential.
Hopng all have a good weekend. Our Giants have a bi week. Go Patriots and go Rangers.

I just work up, imagine that!!!!!! and it is 1030. I have to work my little 4 hours tonight. so that will be a peice of cake.
Like Monica said it is cold here and i am running out of long sleeve shirts,imagine that!!!!! I left them in colorado..... and I need jeans!!!!! cause they are falling of of me!!!!!!
We are planning a trip to Michigan to see Phyllis and Jon for Thanksgiving and to go and see our daughter for a few days. We are taking the dog with us.  I decided that if they are giving any hours at work Im not going to work Thanksgiving!!!!!
Well it is beautiful outside so I better get scooting  and see what is going on in the outside world. ]

Congratulations on the birth of Miss Lincoln Jane!  I had two little red headed daughters.  They sure are special, aren't they?  Know you will have such a good time on your trip north, visiting with family and friends.  Yoda will have a ball, too!

Glad things are going so well for you now.  Be happy!  You deserve it!

Morning Trish and OFF family!

Well I had yet another on and off sleep night. This is getting old! I hurt and this not sleeping good doesn't help me at all!! I do take Tylenol Pm and that helps for MAYBE a couple hours or so. Not like it used to for sure! Wednesday I see my dr again and hopfully he can do some changes in the medicine. The Savella sure isn't working at all for the pain!!!

Bandit and Buster are starting to play with each other...until I come home from work. Then Bandit turns into a BRAT!!!! Not sure why he has to be so mean when I come home but Rick says he isn't like that when I am gone. Buster comes out to play with Rick when Bandit and I go to the bedroom and I am on the computer or I lay in bed with the heating pad on and Bandit is on the bed with me. And the cat is more friendly with women they said. Hmmm. Oh well. I got him for Rick anyhow....LOL BUT this cat stinks!!! Now all you cat people out there...how do I get this "stink" off of him?? He smells like cat litter...stinky litter!! Do I give him a bath? Can I use dog shampoo on him or do I have to get cat shampoo? He also has bad breath!! I looked at his teeth again and the one baby tooth that he had next to his big one is now gone so I don't think that is the problem. Any suggestions on this problem? He is 6 months old.

The weather here FINALLY had the sun out and I saw blue sky again this morning!!! WOW!!!! It is still chilly though!!! 45* BRRRRR I don't like this cold weather at all!!!

Working on the afghan for my grandaughter its finally 3/4 done!! So almost done with that one and 2 more to go!!! YIPPEEEE!!!!!!! :-) Would LOVE to go back home for Christmas so I can see their faces when they open their gift up and see it!! Can we afford it?? I don't know!!! HELP!!!! What do I do???? I want to go back home soooooo bad!!!!! Money is so tight right now!!!! Mom is 90 and my sister is having health issuses all the time also...my brother is also having some issuses again...my younger brother not sure about him but would love to see him again and his grandson....he is 6 months old now...dam I want to go home so bad even for a couple days!! Need to look at bank book I guess and see where I can come up with some money for trip for a couple days!!! Sighs. I do have vacation time built up again...38 hours....hmmmmm. Time to talk to Rick if I can get his butt out of bed.....LOL Have to give 3 weeks notice for time off ya know!!!! GRRR

Well time to get things done around here and then off to work 1-9.
