Morning everyone...hope you are all ok seeing as nobody started the thread today!

Its a cloudy day here in Willoughby calling for rain later on yuck! Guess that is why I am feeling some pain again. Sighs. Medication the dr gave me sort of works but not like the Cymbalta did. Cymbalta took the pain away completely in 2 days but then it also messed with my mind. The Savella so far has taken about half the pain away but my mind is still there.

Well we have Buster home now and so far Bandit and Buster are ALMOST friends. LOL Buster discovered Cocoa our ****atiel late last night. Sighs. But I told Rick the cage is big enough for her to get away from him and she does have a sharp beak on her if he gets too close to her!!! He still spanked him when he got on top of the cage. I didn't like that. He said he had to do that to Sassy once and she learned after one spanking. Yeah. So things are quiet here today with the animals. Buster under the table and Bandit here by me feet. Cocoa in her cage looking at Buster under the table. LOL What a group huh?

Well that is about all my news. Need to get back working on the afghans. I have the first on just over half done and two more to get done before Christmas. Told Rick it would probably be cheaper to drive to Michigan and back then to mail them out...LOL see what kind of gas prices we have come December. And if I can get a few days off again. I have vacation time coming but I have to give 3 weeks notice...gezzz I hate that!!! Oh well. So anyhow have a good day and I will try and stop back but if I don't I am at work and busy working on afghan.

Prayers and thought to those that need them!!!

HUGS

Well, I survived the dreaded colonoscopy this morning.....Doc said everything looked great, no polyps or anything.   Sis brought me home and stayed around until just a few minutes ago.

Had a call from my guy last evening - I think he
misses me .....he said "why don't you come out
here".....I just laughed and said "I wish"....maybe I should have said "send me a ticket"....LOL   The SIL is improving slowly but only has the use of his right arm, so needs a lot
of help...I think Jim is getting tired of playing
nursemaid, but they don't have insurance to pay
for inhome care....

We are to get rain starting tonight and then thru Thursday.....I liked the sun and warm temps better than this..

Well, I think I am up to a bite of lunch and then probably a nice long nap.

Hugs and good wishes to all,

Good morning, Judy, and those to come!

It's a blustery day here on top of the hill!  Cooler today as well.  I actually have a robe on as I sit here at the computer to ward off a chill.  Maybe fall has finally arrived.

My shoulders are sore, but I got half the wall paper stripped off that one wall in our bedroom yesterday.  I'm determined to get the other half stripped this morning and then I can PAINT that wall tomorrow.  I will finally have our bedroom completely painted before we leave Hilltop this time.  I hope I can also hang my new shades and curtains, but we'll see.  Time is getting short.

Hubby wants me to work on laying the tile floor in the guest bath, but frankly, I don't think that's my cup of tea!  I'd rather spend my energy (and my limited shoulder strength) painting and hanging curtains, you know?  Still, I understand his frustration at not being able to finish the job he started this trip.  So maybe.

I've got to close now and get ready to make a trip to the hardware store.  Need more wallpaper stripper, plus hubby always has a list of odds and ends a mile long.  That man has more tools and crap than any other man alive.  But he can always think of three or four more things he "needs"!  LOL!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!  Love you all!

Next time hubby leaves you, we will have to get together in Shreveport now that the weather has cooled off. It's 95 miles from me, so I think it's halfway for both of us.

Good Morning Judy and OFF-

Judy congrats on the surgiversary and the arrival of Buster. A cat with a ****iteil that's an interesting combination. Maybe a spray bottle with vinegar might be a better deterent for Buster climbing on the cage. Spanking never worked with my cats.

Vickie- How cool is it in Texas? Better get down there in the comfort zone as I'm heading that way soon. Are you laying ceramic tile in the bathroom? I found tiling to be much like quilting and enjoyed the projects I did in my house. Butch sounds like my Dad. He would send me to the hardware store with a list and all the broken parts to make sure I got the right thing.

Monica- Congrats on the wedding anniversary and the continued sobriety. Phemnomenal accomplished to be married 42 years within our age group! You're almost to your one year anniversary on the sobriety. Something to be very proud of.

Well today it's sunny so I'll finish the yard shutdown work today. Mow the lawn one last time and then secure the lawnmower for winter. Maybe secure all the porch furniture with their tarps and bring in the cushions. Tomorrow I go to the nutritionist for my 3 month followup. I've struggled this last month but the scale is still moving downward. Don't think I'll make her goal weight but will be pretty close.

The remainder of the week will be spent packing and loading the car. I'll probably pull out on Sunday morning for NH. Will spend three nights in NH visiting doctors there and then start heading to Texas. I am getting excited about being back in Texas for the winter. New refuge to work for as a volunteer this winter so that will be interesting.

Hope everyone else is having a great day and that their teams won. Hope everyone is also enjoying low pain days and enjoying the day!

Cindi
