RICK'S BIRTHDAY PARTY

Well I cooked and cleaned all freaking weekend and it ended up being cold and raining most of the day today! Expected 23 guests that RSVP'd. 7 showed up. Nice huh? Yeah. So there were 9 of us including me and Rick. I even bought a tarp so Rick could up it up to block the cold wind and rain on the patio and had the apartment fixed nice so there was plenty of room for everyone to sit comfy inside. Well there was plenty of room for sure with only 9 of us there!!! We sure do have alot of food and drinks left over!!! Funny part is those that RSVP'd didn't even call to let me know they couldn't makeit today after all. We even tried calling them to see what happened. No answer. Strange. Well I told Rick I for one will no longer be going to thier parties ever again if that is how they treat our party. Give us thier YES and be a no show! How rude is that for gosh sakes?? I even bought THEIR brand of beer. See how nice I was for them? Well it won't happen ever again thats for sure!!! NOPE!!! But for those that did show up we had a good time and enjoyed my food and everyone gave me compliments on every dish I made! Hell even Rick's fussy daughter told me she loved my potato salad!!! I about fell over!!! ANd ofcourse Mommy dearest had to fix a plate to take home for the wonderful step-daddy. Good thing there was plenty of food to be had or she would have been told hell no!!!!!! And ofcourse she didn't speak to me but maybe a few words. Fine with me. As for Rick's daughter, well she didn't say much either but she did speak. Fancy that.

So other than that let down Rick told me Thankyou hon and told me he loved me for doing this for him and that he appreciated everything I did and that he was sorry his friends didn't show up like they said they would. Then he said he couldn't wait til we got our kitty tomorrow night....lol gotta love that guy!!!

Then the elephants started stomping around above us. As usual. Sighs. Rick said thats it!!!!! Time for US to Party!!!!!!!! So he turned on his music and blasted it loud!!!!!!! Blasted it for about an hour or so and guess what? Its nice and quiet up there now...LMAO. Wonder if they left or if it did the trick? Its a nightmare with them above us. From the time they get up in the morning il they go to bed. Stomp Stomp Stomp!!!! It gets on your nerves!!!

Well enough complaining for tonight I have a huge headache and my whole body is in pain tonight. Need to go to bed because I work all dam day tomorrow. YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Judy....I am glad Rick enjoyed his party even though they everyone didn't show up. They obviously know nothing about etiquette and being responsible and caring to others.

Rick is a keeper sweetie...hang on tight to that one! Of course he is equally  as lucky to have you. You are awesome!!

You are right Connie!! Rick DID enjoy his party but he was so dissappointed that his friends didn not show up or call him!!! Even today they did not call him to wish him happy birthday!!! How sad!!!

But on a happy note...He is playing with Buster and Bandit...trying to get them to be buddies!!! LOL good luck!!!

It sounds like your party was a success, in spite of the ignorant no shows, and your Mother-in-law.  Shake it off, and enjoy your new addition when you get it tonight,  Your hubby is definitely a keeper.

Trish we had a good time despite the no-shows...it just hurts knowing that our so-called friends are ignorant people that have no class and still tonight they still haven't called him to wish him happy birthday!!! Thier day is coming let me tell you!!!

People are strange indeed. You gave the party for Rick cause you love and wanted to honor his day. Screw the rest, you had the party and for you both it was good.

You are so right Monica!! These so called friends ARE strange indeed!!! And they WILL here it from us loud and clear IF they ever call us again!!!

We have the kitty home and Rick is playing with him and it sounds like he is having a bit of trouble getting them (Bandit) to be nice...lol it will take some time but this sounds funny me being in the other room....lol.

Ditto what the others have said.  LET IT GO, and be happy that you and Rick got to celebrate his special day together.  I can't tell you the number of special days that Butch and I have to spend apart.  Of course, we celebrate later, but it's never quite the same.  So count your blessings, which are MANY, and love each other with all your hearts!  You're a lucky woman to have found a good man like Rick.  And he's a lucky man.  So many good things to be thankful for. 

And enjoy little Buster tonight!  Oh, what fun that will be for you both!  Hope Bandit can make the adjustment to his new sibling!  LOL!

Vickie we have each other and that is all that matters to us!!! The HELL with the rest!!!!!!!! As for the so-called friends...what friends? We have no friends any more. Not after yesterday. That was so rude and uncalled for!!

We have Buster home and Rick is trying sooo hard to get them to be nice to each other...lol all I am hearing is no no no be nice now no no no. LOL. I canhardly wait til its bed time...OMG!!!

You and your hubby have spents so much time apart I don't know how you do it!!!
