Good Morning Carla and OFF-
Carla hope you are taking it a bit easy, you don't want a hernia on the hernia repair.
Trish sorry the Phillies lost but there's still time.
Grammylew kudos to you for taking on the slip covers for your DIL. I'd tell you to call my Mom in Southern Pines for advice but she's disoriented by the move.
Monica congrats on the continued sobriety. Is it true that you're doing this without AA. Even more impressive!
Well yesterday I drove 80 miles to go to a support group meeting. Was not feeling happy about the eating I did do while traveling and at my Mom's. I have a goal weight for my 3 month visit with the NUT and don't think I'm going to make it. But I'm glad I made the effort to go to the meeting. The surgeon came in and did a demo of a Vertical Sleeve. That was interesting. Also gave me time to reflect on my NSV's. I went to Walmart the other day and bought two pairs of jeans another size smaller. I'll hit Goodwill when I go for my NUT appointment. I didn't need the seat belt extender on the two of the four planes I flew on recently. A woman came up to me at the meeting and said she had seen me at the surgeon's office back in June and I was looking great. So I have to focus on the NSV's and not the number on the scale all the time. I'm seeing numbers on the scale that I haven't seen in 10 years. I'm seeing parts of my body that I haven't seen in 10 years.
The next two weeks will be hectic as I begin the winter shutdown checklist for leaving my cabins for the winter. I tend to stress about this transition each year so I have to be vigilant. I'm not taking a lot of clothes with me this time as most of them don't fit so one of the shutdown items will be to clean out the closet and get rid of the too big clothes. I'm looking forward to getting to Texas and working at my volunteer job. I have to say that I am a bit bored lately since my friend left for the winter. Boredom is another trigger for my head hunger.
Anyway, it's a beautiful sunny day here in Maine so I'll mow the lawn and winterize the yard while the weather is warm. We had a cold spell the last three days and a power failure with no heat to remind me why I don't live here in the winter. The fall color is at it's peak this year but not spectacular because of the rainy weather we've had all summer.
Enjoy your weekend ladies.

Good Morning All,
Glad you are feeling better Carla. I'm just doing a quick post. Today is our (Al and I) 28th anniversary. I have decided to hire a woman to clean house for me once a week and today is her first day. I'm running crazy preparing the house for cleaning! That is nuts! But she can't put things away for me and the house needs that to be done before she can clean surfaces. My back is protesting big time but I can handle it... back to the grind now... my weight is going back down, thank goodness. I've upped my protein and it seems to unlock a weight loss key for me. I have never liked yogurt but this new Greek yogurt is very tasty. Oikos is my favorite so far. Anyone else tried it?
