Good mornin' ya'll.
Just a quick fly by on my way to my sewing room. Got some good recommendatios for a local upholsterer. Will call today and see how much it will cost to have my DIL's couch reupholstered. If it isn't too much, I will pay it for them. She can still pay for the fabric.
Have a fantabulous day!

Good morning Grammy and my OFF sistas!

Another super busy day for Butch and I today.  I've got a Board Meeting tonight down at our other lakehouse and I have to prepare for it this morning.
Also have to make a new batch of dog food this morning for my pup pups!  I already cooked the venison yesterday afternoon, so all I have to do this morning is cook the brown rice and sweet potatoes.

And I'm still trying to finish that dratted on-line defensive driving course.  So boring, but it's got to be done.  I need to try and knock out a big chunk of it today, hopefully make myself fini****

Can't believe that when I posted yesterday I forgot to tell you all that I was wearing a pair of SIZE 16 chinos!!!  These are from Land's End and have the "comfort waist", which is why they fit, but I'll take it!  I still can't wear my regular size 16 jeans.  They fit fine in the hips and thighs, but I just can't button them.  My waist is still more of a size 18.  Still, I went through my closet and found several pairs of pants and crops in size 16, so I'm happy about that.

I'm starting to feel a bit overwhelmed by our schedule this week, but I have to just keep focused and I'll make it.  It will be good to get this Board meeting behind me.  My term on the Board will be up next May and I plan to resign at that time.

Grammy, I like your plan for the DIL's sofa.  Hope it's not too much money and you can hand it off to someone else.

Better get moving here.  Love you all!

Good Morning, We're headed out of town for 2 weeks. Going as far as our daughter's this morning and then flying to St. Louis on Friday to spend time with relatives. My mom's youngest sibling and the only one of 8 still alive turned 90 last week. We're packed and ready to go. Our Yorkie, Maggie, will stay with our son and daughter in law while we're gone. She'll be doted on to the max! Not planning on taking my computer so I'll check in when I can. I'm pulling on my TEDs support stockings. They are such a pain to put on but once on they really help the swelling in my legs which is still quite noticeable. You all take care.

Sounds like a great plan. Sometimes we just take on more than we should. Good for you for finding a good way to get it done!

Gee, it's quite here today.

I wanted to thank everyone for their kind and positive responses to my post last week about the breast "thing".  I guess socks with rocks can still have lumps. Anyway, the good news is that I will be seeing a breast specialist tomorrow at the Med Center. Very good recommendations for her, and best yet.....she's from San Diego!!!  It will be nice to have a connection with her. Gary is going with me, which makes it better too.

Ok....off to find something to get into....

Hugs

Susan

Dear Susan…I am not always up-to-date but I am sorry that you are also going thru this ordeal.   Apparently, breast size means nothing but it is your personal development that can trigger breast cancer. For me, because I started my period at 11 (VERY young when others didn’t get it til 16), had my last period at 59(late again) that means that I was exposed to a lot more estrogen than most women are. Add to that, I had three pregnancies and all after 26 yrs of age. I read that if your have a full pregnancy by 20, you are 50% less likely to get breast cancer. I’ve read of a woman who got breast cancer on her chest wall years after a full radical mastectomy. Sometimes it’s just “the luck of the draw”, no matter how well we take care of ourselves. Here in Canada, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  PINK is THE colour to wear. Last year they even coloured the Niagara Falls PINK! It is vital that we like and trust our surgeons..that gives us courage and faith. I have been blessed with two wonderful oncology surgeons. Still waiting for my own surgery date. I hope you get yours soon and get rid of that blank blank cancer! *hugs* Nancy B

Good Afternoon Grammylew and OFF Family,
I overslept today, and then went straight to the doctor's.  I am having a severe allergy attack, with terrible head congestion.

Today has me watching the beginning of the Phillies game.  Then, DVRing the end of the game while I head to a support group at my church.  I did not make it there last time, because I was sick.  I need to shake these symptoms by tonight, because I do not want to miss it this week.

In the meantime, I will spend the day, laying low, and crocheting my granddaughter's bedspread.

Well, I hope everyone is having a blessed Tuesday.

Hugs,
Trish
