SUNDAY WHAT'S NEW?
Good morning everyone. AGAIN! This is my second post of the day. First one went off into cyber space, never to be seen again. That always makes me mad at the computer. And isn't that a silly emotion to have? Being mad at a machine. But there you go. This computer drives me crazy at times.
So, Judy, I've said it before, but it bears repeating: you and Rick really need to move! You live in a zoo at that place! Wow. So glad no one was hurt. What happened to the driver?
I'm still plugging away at my big ol' to-do list. Hopefully I'll finish up most, if not all, of it today. Paying bills, taking a defensive driving class on-line, and I've got a POA Board Meeting on Tuesday evening that I have to prepare for. Busy busy.
Next week will be a week full of doctor and dentist appts for both hubby and me. So many appts, but then we'll finish up Thursday afternoon, and we'll be free for the next two weeks. Hurray! We'll be headed back to Hilltop and I hope we can finish that bathroom remodel we started last summer. Plus Papaw is about to die to see Benny again. I can surely understand that!
The weather here has turned cool and gorgeous. Slept with the windows open last night. The big AC is turned OFF and I love sitting here feeling the cool breeze waft through the house. I hope last week was our last hot spell. I'm ready for fall to arrive.
I'm glad to hear from everyone. Kristi, good to hear from you, although it sounds as if you've been living in a pressure cooker lately. Way to go on the smaller size jeans! I can get in my size 16 pants again, but not my size 16 jeans! Grrrrr. My waist line just won't shrink!
Grammy, you are doing so well with your new sleeve. Really. I'm impressed with your swift recovery. I'll bet the weight starts falling off soon!
Mag, let me know when you get back to AZ, okay? I've still got all these clothes I can send you.
Okay, my break's over. I'd better get back to my chores. Hope you all are enjoying a lovely and blessed Sunday with your family and friends!
Love you all!
Hi Judy and my OFF family:
Judy, that place you live in is a war zone. You need to find a better place. I have read/edited/done stories on people driving their cars into buildings. I remember one in Montana; the woman blacked out behind the wheel and drove into a house. I think she was diabetic or something. She went right into the dining room. The family was in the kitchen, or those that were home were. It was the middle of the day. I remember taking photos of it. The driver came to after the crash and wondered where she was and what happened. Police did DUI testing on her but then realized her glucose levels were too low and that's why she was so spacy. So they got her to the hospital ER. No one was hurt, but the house was a mess.
My mom is at it again. Last night, my brother went to a wedding of a friend's daughter. He told me yesterday he didn't think he would stay long (this is what my father used to say all the time, "I hate going to these things. I'm not going to have fun." And then he'd get there and have a blast. He just hated going; he enjoyed himself once he got there.). Well, Gary told my mom he figured he'd be home after dinner. Then he started having fun. Mom started to worry when he wasn't home by 10 p.m. "I thought he was dead in a ravine somewhere," she told me. "Mom, there are no ravines in Illinois." She did the same thing with me when I was traveling. And Gary wasn't even going very far. So finally, she called his cellphone; no answer. Then she really started to worry. About 10 minutes later, he called back and she could tell he was enjoying himself. So she went to bed; later, she got up and saw he was home and in bed.
She told me, "Just wait til you have kids." I said, "Mom, I'm well past that." I guess she doesn't remember that I'm 56.
Work was kind of a bear last night. We are still having server problems. Because someone was on vacation, I had a couple of extra pages, and I didn't see it until someone pointed it out to me, so I had to throw that together; didn't follow the directions very well, had to reconfigure it a couple times. It was a mess. I got done on time but I hate having to rush through things.
Well, back to work today; it's a beautiful fall day here, 74 degrees, no clouds, gorgeous. It was so cool last night I didn't even have the air on, just the ceiling fans.
Finishing up my coffee; now it's in the shower and then lunch. Have a good day.

Wow Judy...excitement you didn't need in the middle of the night. Hopefully you can get through the day with little sleep.
Sang at church this morning and every thing went well. When we sing we pray extra!
came home and hubby made dinner, steak, little red potatoes and asparagus. Yummy! Then he took right off to help with the side job. He will work til dark then come back and play Rook with his friends. Maybe we will get home around the same time tonight.
Right now work is quiet but I'm folding more phamplets. So hugs and prayers for all in need. Debbie

Good afternoon Judy and everyone.....
Judy....I agree....that place sounds like a death trap. Thank God no one was hurt!
Kristi....nice to see you back....your life is a whirlwind...hope it settles down soon!!
My mind is blank again....sorry....I know I wanted to comment on other peoples posts ......UGH. You know I think of all of you everyday. You are always in my prayers.
Just getting through the days....pretty numb right now....I keep putting one foot in front of the other. Trying to read a book....sometimes I just can't concentrate very well.
Have a great rest of the day.
Love and many hugs to all....connie d
