Soggy Saturday - How Are You?
Susan stay positive! I am so glad to hear they have found this 'something' early. Ten years ago my Sis had a malignant lump removed with a lumpectomy, then she did radiation. She has been fine since.
Yesterday was a routine visit with my PCP. I made my appointment for my mammo. He said the swelling and pain in the back of my left hand and wrist is phlebitis and a small blood clot from the IV. Hot compresses. The same advice I was given by many of you on here. There are so many of us on here that have 'been around', I can almost always find someone who has been through the same thing and knows what to do.
Today I have a couple of small things to modify on a couple of costumes. The waist needs to come in on one. The bow tie on the
clown needs to be a different color(my DIL didn't like the one we used after it got made up, I didn't like it from the beginning). Then continue on with my guy clown. Unfortunately I get interrupted a lot on weekends with kids wanting to be fed. So if I start early I can get a lot done before they are even up.
I know our son and older grandson are probably already gone. They were going bow hunting and scouting for deer for the regular season. So I'm sure I will see them for lunch. This grandson just broke up with his girlfriend of 3 years and it's nice to see him getting out again.
Well, I better hit the shower, then the craft room.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
I am up and tired. I overslept, and then am drowsy due to being on Benadryl becauseI of being itchy, some type of allergic reaction to something. Needless to say, I am loopier than normal.
I'm hoping to be awake enough to head to Barix this morning. I don't want to have an accident so I will be cautious. If I do get out of the house, I will be heading to Giant to get some groceries that are on sale this week, and I have some coupons for.
Tonight, I am watching the Phillies. Then, tomorrow my son in New York is taking me to the Eagles game.

Well, gotta scoot. Utley just woke up, and wants attention.

Positice vibes to all of you how need them!
Still at my Mom's in NC. We got a lot of sorting done yesterday and will focus on sorting out the sewing room today. There is a trunk full of fabric, a desk full of sewing supplies and a closet to sort. The closet has table clothes and more fabric. Being a military wife and southern bell she had lots of tables clothes for entertaining. Fabric leftover from curtains made at the various places that she moved with my Dad. This will be her 22nd and final move.
Her new place is going to be chalk a block full of stuff which I hope she'll reduce over time but I'm not pushing on drastic reduction as she gets too anxious. This move will be good for her as she will have people checking on her more frequently, even though she's living independently.
So today the dreaded sewing room. Tomorrow I'm hoping to get up to visit our friend in hospice again. Monday I fly back to Maine. It's best that the movers don't have to deal with two alpha females and my Mom is adamant that she doesn't need my help. So I have two more days of survival in a hostile food environment. I publically acknowledge that I have reduced the ginger snap inventory but otherwise I haven't gone over board. My Mom is one of my eating triggers so I'm pleased that I have done so well while being here again. Of course, last night I was offered a bowl of ice cream! Oh well, I'm on the right path and expecting an 81 year old to change is unrealistic!
Have a great weekend ladies and enjoy your various plans. Think of me sorting through fabric and table clothes! :)

Hang in there. It'll be over soon.

PS The Raleigh paper had a special football section this morning and I thought of you slaving over the layouts.
Good morning Laureen and my OFF sistas!
I'm up, but I'm not moving too well yet. Just kinda in a fog this morning. I need to pay bills, but my brain keeps telling me I need a Coke to wake up. Dammit. I--do--not--need--a--Coke! I go through this every time I sit down to pay bills. I never realized just how deeply that habit was ingrained in me. I looked back on the calendar and I drank my last Coke on Jan 17, 2011. It's been almost 10 months and I'm still craving that damn Coke.
On the bright side, the first words my hubby said to me this morning were "You look so skinny!"
Got through a big portion of my 3-mile to-do list yesterday. Got to try and fini**** up today if possible. I don't like the feeling of having things hanging over me.
Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday!
Love you all!
Susan, Stay positive my friend. Will be saying prayers.
Here I am in beautiful but cold Wisconsin. Yesterday was so windy and last night they had their first hard frost. We went through the garden and picked the last of the veggies and lots of flowers.
Grammy Lew, I learned to throw tomahawks yesterday. I bagged 2 bow hunters. That's the legal limit here in Wisconsin. Tee Hee and Ha Ha Ha.
Have one have a great day. Mag
