Sleepy Saturday What's Up?
I researched the Subaru somewhat but bought on a little bit of impulse because the car I wanted I couldn't find in Butte, Mont.; the Accord I bought because it was cheaper than the Camry I was going to buy (would've bought another Subaru but the nearest dealer was 100 miles away and my car was dying). The Accent was definitely impulse but I did research a little online before I went to the dealer; I read up about it, reviews and such, so I knew that it was a pretty good car, similar to the Honda Fit that I considered buying (and actually better reviews, plus a longer warranty). So I knew what I was looking at when I went in there.
I'm sure your husband will be happy with your purchase.
Besides, if he didn't want me to have control of the money, he shouldn't work overseas. I always tell him, "It's my job to spend the money; it's YOUR job to go make more of it!" LOL!
Looks like you'll have a ballgame tonight ... I'm watching the first game of the day-night doubleheader now (Phillies-Mets). Something to do before I have to work tonight. Ugh ... I could use another day off. But to work I go ... it'll take my mind off things.
My chili turned out really good yesterday, but I ate it a little too early ... onions and peppers were a little crunchy so I let it cook overnight. Now it's really ready. I wanted to make a zucchini cake or zucchini bread, so I shredded the zucchini and then looked for the flour ... damn, I forgot to buy flour! So I put the zucchini in the freezer to use another day.
White Sox game was pitiful last night so I watched the Brewers clinch, then the D-Backs, then saw the Rangers clinch after the Angels lost. The Sox are such a disappointment this year, other than Paul Konerko; such a bunch of underachievers.
Anyway, not much happening. Working later. Have a good day.
Hello, everyone!
Saturday, this week, is a quiet day for me and I'm enjoying it.
It's overcast and cool here, we had a terrible thunderstorm yesterday...lots of bundles of leaves on the lawn...JB is out there with the tractor and finishing mower making great headway...the yard is a full acre and He usually just uses the John Deere mower. However, since it is waiting for a part, he uses the big tractor. Funny, but I'd swear he loves mowing grass..a solitary, easy job and he just relaxes and putts around.
I've created some files to send to my clients to print out, study, add to their binders and be prepared to discuss Wednesday evening. I have combined my Friday afternoon class with the Wednesday evening class in preparation for my surgery and treatments...giving me only ONE class(albeit larger) to teach a week. Also I have postponed my Hospice Certification course until February to clear more time and energy.
I called my surgeon's office Thursday to see if I have a surgery date yet but conference calls between hospital surgeons are done Wed's and Fri's and that surgeon at the cancer centre was in surgery Wednesday(no kidding!) so I should have my date early this coming week. That will help alot just to be able to plan things.
FINALLY, three months late, the legal affidavits have arrived from the lawyer...four copies to me and copies sent to the local Credit Union and to their head legal office. The lawyer had better get this mess cleared up as it was his fault it got this far. I was adamant to his secretary that I will not pay any legal fees encurred by his lack of follow-through which caused the financial issues with Mom's account. The whole mess has now been dumped into HIS lap..he caused it.
I am trying to do alot of cleaning and organizing here before surgery & treatment so I won't have to feel guilty about it after.
There's a huge pot of beef vegetable and barley soup bubbling on the stove and I have raisin bread baking..smells wonderful. I miss my Mom.
Taking my tea outside to sit a while on the porch and visit with my outside furries. Although it is cool out there, they climb all over me and keep me warm *s*
Best wishes for all those needing healing, hugs or happy smiles,
Nancy B
