Home Sweet Home
Arrived home late afternoon yesterday after 12 days on the road. We had an awesome trip -- saw so much beautiful scenery and the National Parks were beyond our expectations. We drove thru Las Vegas but didn't stop (we don't gamble) enroute to the Hoover Dam. We spent 3 hrs in Santa Fe, NM browsing thru the center square and all the Indian vendors with their spectacular jewelry and pottery. Bought myself two gorgeous pairs of earrings. We were in Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado,
Kansas, Illinois and probably some others I can't remember.
Pictures are great, but seeing all of God's creation up close and personal can really touch your heart.
We were fortunate to have wonderful weather the whole time, and the three of us got along just great. I even got the nerve up to drive one whole day -- mostly country roads with very little traffic.
Lots of memories made, but good to be home, and Miss Fluffy was very happy to see me.

I've been to some of those places and know how beautiful they are. Never to the Hoover Dam, though. Loved the Four Corners country and want to get back there someday. And to the Grand Canyon, too. Saw a spectacular sunset at a place called Dead Horse Point State Park in Colorado, over a canyon of the Colorado and Green rivers, that was just the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. My friend Rox and I spent an hour there watching the sunset and taking photos. I think I shot a whole two rolls of film ... to get one great shot. Wow, it was gorgeous.
Sounds like a great trip, Pat. We want to see photos. Glad you're back.
