Hello, everyone!  Firstly, I wish to thank everyone for your kind words and prayers. They are greatly appreciated. I also send prayers and healing energy to Morgan…always soo hard to see young people struggle with this awful disease! I went to bed late but here I am, back at the keyboard after tossing and turning for four hours and, althoughI facilitate a Spiritual LifePath class at 2 pm, I boldly gave up, cane down here, took a very mild sleeping pill and I’m eating a bowl of hot pea soup, hopefull to lull my body to sleep. Last night’s BPW dinner meeting was very well-attended with potential new members and the Guest Speaker was Timea Nagy, a SURVIVOR of Forced Human Trafficking.. Last night she spoke of her horrendous experiences while in captivety.  Many of us bought her book “WALK WITH ME” as the purchase of her books help afford more protection for the victims. It was NOT a “comfortable” read, but very eye-opening!   And now Friday, I have off “easy” with only one three-hour classs and a few hours to re-educate our only young male- one who embraces all of his negative traits and has yet to learn that very practical and courteous lesson of “active listening”. And, in between all that, I am expected to drop in with a birthday bottle of champange for a BPW Pres’s birthday.  Perhaps today, I wil get my surgery date or maybe Monday…the waiting sucks. My view is ”Let’s get this crap outa me fast!!”   Followed by usually 25 treatments of radiation. The trick is how to continue my life in a most normal fashion.  You might have remind me from time to time to go to bed…like when falling asleep..do notice keys ln my foreheads as I struggle to complete my task

Eyes clossenug…must close eyes; must.........

Good morning Nancy and everyone....

Nancy...I will continue to keep you in my prayers. Hope the surgery is done and over with soon.

Nan...I am glad you will be getting some alone time....we all need that now and then. Prayers continue for Morgan and all of you!!

Where is everyone....I am late getting on here today and there are only a few of us here. Usually by now I am one of the last ones to post.

Grace isn't going with her dad to Kansas this weekend. It is a long story and all I can say is alcohol had a huge part in not letting her go!!!

Grace and Nic are both at school and I am doing laundry. That is about as exciting as my day will be!!

I will check in again later. Wishing you all a beautiful day.

Prayers for so many in need.

Love and hugs to all.....connie d

Nancy, OFFr friends. . .

You seem to always find the strength to push past it all and I admire that in you, it is also a part of who I am, however, there are moments where I stumble and find myself in need and not feeling as though I can ask for help, but I am getting better with that a little at a time.  I continue to pray for your well being, as well as many others who are facing cancer treatments and the ravages that those treatments sometimes bring.

This morning it is grey and gloomy outside and the only part of that I am feeling is tired, but then I guess for me that is synomous with having done all I needed to in order to care for me this past week.  For days of getting up at 4:45 in the morning have a way of catching up with me by weeks end and I am just not able to fall asleep much before 10 p.m. and some nights much later, oh well, the benefits are showing up on my scale as I am now down a full 6 pounds from 3 months ago and while it has been slow progress, it is still progress and more importantly it is giving me the push I need to keep at it.  My clothing has spoken to me of the loss of weight, but the scale had not really moved much until I got on it this morning and I am elated, now my goal is not to get on it again for a full week.  On the aspect of busy lives, this week has been one of go, go and go some more and I am actually glad that this weekend is relatively open, other than babysitting my grandchildren tomorrow night, so my son and dil can go to dinner to celebrate their 8th wedding anniversary and his birthday, which was yesterday.  I do, of course, have the usual house cleaning, laundry, food shopping/prepping to deal with, but otherwise, I am going to take it easy, at least this upcoming week I am only working 3 days.

Well that's all from me, hope you all have a wonderful day and prayers for peace and strength for all in need.

Hugs, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Hi Nancy and all,

Nancy,  Hope your surgery date comes quickly.

I am back in Indiana after 2 weeks touring the great southeastern states. It was wonderful to meet Monica and Carla face to face. Still feeling tired and hope to recuperate quickly. It's great to have access to a computer again. I have lots of catching up to do. Hugs to all,   Mag

Hi Nancy and my OFF family:

Hope you get a date soon and get on with your usual energetic life. Don't know where you get all this energy.

Not a whole lot going on here. I have the day off and plan to make chili; got to get it in the slow cooker soon so I can have it for dinner. Otherwise all I have is eggs again.

Anyway, everyone have a good day.

 Good Afternoon Nancy,
I am late because of a lot of stuff I did right after I woke up, like an AA meeting, grocery shopping and visit to the pain specialist's office.  Now, I am getting ready to drive to my son's in Queens, NY, and see if the Phillies/Mets game is still on, because it is raining all day here and there, and there is a 100% chance of rain the rest of today there.  Tomorrow and Sunday, there is only a 60% chance of rain, so I am hoping they postpone tonight's game till either Saturday or Sunday evening, as I really don't want to sit in the rain all night long.  In any event, I will get to see my son.

Oh well, I better head out.

Hugs,
Tris

I heard a rumor that it is fall but surely that can't be.  It is still in the mid to high 90's here in Texas.  We have been spared the 3 digit temps for a few days.  We are still in a serious drought and fires are a major threat.  The ones closest to me have been put out but it only takes a spark for new ones to flare.

I have never seen weather like this before.  Seems all over the U S extreme conditions exists.  We are dry while others flood etc.  its CAARAZZYYY

Hi Nancy!! And OFF family...

Nancy I sure hope that you get your daye soon so you can get on with your busy busy life again!!!!  My Prayers are with you always and I also have others praying for you now as well!!!! Hang in there!!!

Well today was the cookout at my work. It was OK if you got to be there at a decent time when there was plenty of food available!!!! I FINALLY got my lunch about 1:45 and let me tell you there sure wasn't much left to choose from that was worth eating!!! The steaks and ribs were there but the veggies were gone, and so were the potatoes. Everything that I could have wanted was gone. Oh well...and my cake that I made...one very LITTLE piece was cut out of it!!! I was hurt beyond hurt. I swear that is the last time I will make anything again for work!! I brought the cake home. Rick ate some and he said OMG hon this cake is GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! I said thanks!! To bad people at work missed out on it!!!! ASSES!!!!!!!!! Why was everything else just about gone except MY cake? Other desserts were almost gone...sighs.

Still nothing on Rick's daughter. He said tonight he doesn't care anymore. Yeah right. I know its tearing him up NOT knowing!! And like I said I could bat his family to kingdom come if I had the chance!!!!!!!

Still not sleeping good. Was wide awake til 4 am last night. Nothing is helping me. Going to try a drink tonight and see if that helps. If I don't get any sleep by sunday night I am calling the dr monday morning. I can't keep on like this.

OH!! Last night apartment manager was over here in our living room talking with us and the "elephants" above us were acting up again and she said omg what was that? we said that was nothing!! they are just getting started!!! she said oh my!!! you have to hear that all the time? oh yeah and then some!!! she said she would give them a call and talk to them about some common sense!!! well so far tonight its SORT of quiet...see how long that lasts!!! Rick said Steve saw him in the hall and he looked daggers at him...omg!!! These people are idiots and need to "grow up"!!!

Well its almost time for wrestling to come on so need to get comfy...lol

Thoughts and prayers for all that need them!!!!

HUGS
