Glad you're doing well. You're probably sleepy because your body is recovering from surgery. I know I was exhausted the weeks after my surgery. Rest up.

Yep, I'm by myself. The walk to Walmart was longer than I expected but I made it. Of course, I may be alone, but there are others here having the same proceedure so we all bond as we go back and forth to the clinic and eat our chicken broth in the dinng room. Today we could add drinkable yogurt. I did. I'm not sure I wanna try that again for awhile. It went right through me!!

Good morning, my OFF sistas!

Well, I say "morning".  It's just barely noon here.  I slept really late today for some reason.  Usually the puppies wake me up around 8 or 8:30 a.m., but we all slept 'til 10:30 a.m. this morning. Very unusual!

Oh, I feel so badly this morning.  Benny has caught a cold, and I fear it was from me!  I waited a whole week before I went to see him, too, for just that reason!  This is his very first cold, which is really kind of amazing, considering he is 15 months old.  I'm sure it was bound to happen sometime.  And it won't be the last.  But this ol' Mimi still feels guilty about it! 

Today is my 7 month surgiversary.  I am so thankful to finally be in Onederland!  The scale is slowly inching down.  This morning I was at 199.2, so I've lost half a pound this week.  I'll be glad to get back home next week and start up my exercise routine at Curves again.  Maybe that will make the pounds start coming off faster.

If all goes well with crew change, my husband will be home in one week.  He wrote me yesterday that he was more optimistic about making crew change on time now.  They are supposed to start towing the rig to the shipyard on Saturday.  The tow only takes about 24 hours.  But you never know how long they will have to sit there and wait to clear customs.  Hopefully though, they will get into the shipyard at Bahrain before next Wednesday and he can get off the rig and fly home to Houston by Thursday.

I am SO ready for that man to retire!  I've been living with his crazy work schedule for 30 years now.

I hope all our travelers (Mag, Pat, Carolyn, Julia) have safe journeys today.

Hi Trish and my OFF family:

I'm off for two days and really need the weekend. Juliette and I are vegging at home, she's sitting on the arm of my recliner purring and looking out the window while I drink my coffee.

Not much on my agenda today. I have to take out the garbage ... it's getting stinky in here. Need to run to the store for a couple things I need for my chili (I have plenty of beans and tomatoes in the cupboard, but only one can of tomato sauce). Otherwise, it's just baseball and reading and relaxation. I'm so tired.

Yesterday afternoon, I got a phone call from a recruiter about a job for which I had applied. It's in Arlington, Va., a nonprofit organization. Don't know if they'll actually consider me because they want a local person. But it's nice to be called.

Well, have a nice day.

Haha Vickie- where exactly am I going? It's a  regular work day for me... wish I was on the way to Hawaii or somewhere else FUN! My big news is my haircut. I was tired of the dead ends and had it cut chin length. I am wearing it curly today- very chic. My day at school is quite busy... I have to run. Nice to see you Carolyn. I'm glad you are doing so well... I'm not surprised. You have a great attitude, all of the time!

Oh, silly me!  I meant Carla!  Glad to see you, anyway, Julia.  You've been a little bit AWOL since school started, but boy, do I understand that!  Hope you get to travel somewhere wonderful soon!

 Good afternoon Trish and everyone....

I am tired out...I cleaned the house today. The lady we have cleaning couldn't come today because she had a migraine. I am not so sure she cleans up to my standards. Seems like I am always noticing things not done. Obvious things overlooked. I am pretty picky when it comes to a clean house. I like to be very thorough. Maybe I will just have her come every two weeks and do some of the extra cleaning that I am not able to do. High shelves, ceiling fans,bathroom showers and tubs etc.. I will discuss it with my daughter this weekend.

Grace is going with her dad tomorrow morning. They are going to Kansas to see her other grandma. They will be back on Sunday. I am looking forward to a very quiet weekend!!

Evening OFF family...

Wasn't going to post because it wa so late andfigured nobody would read it anyhow but oh well here I am...LOL

Still no news on Rick's daughter!!! We are both mad as hell that nobody is returning our calls!!! Joe, Rick's brother went to ER yesterday because he was having an asthma attack and so he is not with it now and I understand that. But I bet dear mommy was rushing to be with him...oh well. I told Rick if his mom showed up here I would blast her right out the door!!!!!!!!!! I am so sick of her **** its not funny any more!!!!!!!! He is as mad as I am. He called his daughter and even she hasn't returned his call!!!! So we still do not know if she has cancer or not!!!!!! Guess we are not important enough to know.

Had some excitement here at complex today...we had a raid!!! Oh yeah!!! And they got their men!!! Yuppers!!! Had warrants and everything!!! And I had to miss it all because I was at work!!! Seems they broke into the condos across from our complex and cops got their crooks!!!! Good job!!!!

Working tomorrow and manager is having a cookout for us again. I made a cake this time. Turned out good. Just waiting for it to cool so I can frost it. Its been years since I had this cake and can't wait to try a small piece of it.

Better get my shower in and then the cake should be cool enough to frost. Getting tired anyhow. Haven't been sleeping very good. Think I got about 6 hours total last couple days. Just not sleeping good at all. Even with all my meds that I take and still not letting me sleep. Never had that problem before. Wonder why now?

PS I forgot to mention that one of the guys at work has some kittens and he is going to show me some photos of them and I am thinking of getting one for Rick for his Birthday. Right now Rick says he doesn't want another cat. But I know he would love another one because he misses his Sassy so much! What would you do if you were me? Would you get one for him? Or no?
