I had a blessed weekend at the women't event at my church. The Beth Moore Simulcast was awesome. Talk about a gifted woman of God. The praise and worship was sweet and her message had us digging into God's Word the entire time. I did not get to church yesterday because I developed cellulitis in my left leg, and have to keep it elevated and ice on it. The foot is all bloated, and the doc on call ordered an antibiotic. The redness is shrinking, praise God, but the foot is still swollen,
So, today, I am waiting for my regular doctor's office to call me back to schedule an appointment as follow up to my cellulitis. Hopefully, I can get in to see him today. Depending on what time the appointment is, I might be able to make an AA meeting. The early one is never full, so I should be able to keep my leg elevated during it.
I would appreciate everyone's prayers because this cellulitis has me down not just physically, but emotionally.
Hugs,

Well, this was a major whirlwind exhausting weekend. Friday we went to GS's football game. Got back to hotel at 11:30 or so. Lots of visiting before we were able to go to sleep.
Home in Jacksonville around 11:30 AM. GS bonded with his cousins. In bed at a normal time Sat. Then yesterday we left a 3 to take him back to SC. Round tripped and daughter and I got back at 11:30. My mind was so busy it was hard to get to sleep.
This morning getting daughter's clothes washed so she can pack. She only brought a carry on bag since she was only here a few days. She doesn't get home till 11PM (2 AM east coast time) and she has to be at work first thing Tuesday.
I better get moving. Lots to do today. I hope everyone is safe, happy and healthy.
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
I had a very mixed emotion weekend, I was going to post my recollections of 9-11, as someone who lived there and experienced it from the vantage point of my commute to work on that day and as someone who knew, personally, two people who lost their lives on that day, but then I thought no one really would want to hear it, we've all lived it to one degree or another. . . anyway, I had a nice time on Saturday when Tony came down, after he left I pretty much watched the specials on 9-11, then yesterday morning I watched and listened for the names of the people I knew and once the 2nd person's name was read, which was close to noon, I went about the business of living my life, whi*****luded watching the Jets, Cowboys game last night, what a game, it was a heart attack game for us Jets fans, but it was a win and a good way to celebrate New York!
Well because of the Jets game, I did not get to sleep until almost 1 a.m., so I did not get to the gym this morning, I did bring my gym clothes, so if I have anything left after work, I will go, otherwise, I'm at work, will make a noontime AA meeting and that's about my plans for the day!
Wishing you all the best possible day and peace and strength to get through whatever life challenges you are presented with.
Hugs, Laureen
My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

Good Morning Everyone,
I kind of layed (even as a former English teacher I NEVER know if I am spelling that particular verb tense correctly!) low yesterday. Not far from the surface all day, however, were thougthts of those events 10 years ago. I also was fearful that another vile person or persons would decide to get their 15 minutes of fame.
I pay tribute to those who gave their lives on 9-11 whether in the buildings, as emergency personnel who kept doing what they were supposed to do, as people on that plane in Pennsylvania who chose to fight back. I also grieve for those who live on without friends, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers who died that day.
A special group hug to you all. You are part of my "circle of light" and I would shine less brightly without you in my life!
I try to pay tribute to all who have gone before me by living my life to the best of my ability. Life is truly a gift, a gift that I wasted for many years, and I choose not to do that anymore.
