 Good Morning OFF Family,
I am up early and staying up.  I have a full day at church today.  Our Women's Ministry is having a live simulcast of Beth Moore, a Christian Bible teacher, and I am so thrilled to be able to attend.  I have attended several of her Bible studies and have always been blessed.

Tonight, I am watching the Phillies.  What else is new?

The good news is, I have attended 3 AA meetings the past 3 days.  Each was better than the one before.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Hugs,
Trish

P.S.  I mentioned that my son fixed my computer remotely.  His business website is www.everiware.com if anyone needs help with their computer.  His prices are better than Geek Squad's.

Hugs,
Trish

Yay Trish, I'm with you, I made 5 in a row this past week, but the fact that I can make one at lunch time is a big plus and will shoot for one this evening. . . for me, the more I make the clearer I feel. . .  Enjoy your day!!!

Hugs, Laureen

Good afternoon Trish and everyone....

Trish .......I am happy to hear you made it to your AA Meetings....good for you!!  I used to go with a friend to hers now and then...they are quite interesting and very informative.
Thanks for the info for your son's business....I will keep it for future reference. My computer repair man does mine remotely too. He is just so busy sometimes it takes too long for him to get back to me.

My morning was busy as today is a big celebration weekend here in Boone. My daughter ran the 5K this morning and then the parade was  at 9:30....it lasted almost 2 hours. We live one house off the main street so I sat in the living-room in a comfy chair and watched. My daughter and Grace and a bunch of friends sat chairs next to the street. I am still too sick with this cold/allergies and pain.  I didn't want to be coughing in front of everyone. Grace got TOO MUCH candy as they always throw out so much.

Now it is nap time....I will take more DayQuil and sleep.

I wish you all a really great day!!  Prayers for many in need.

Love and hugs to all.....connie d

Good morning all...

I'm up...hard to sleep with all that is going on. I live in one of the area**** really hard by the flooding.
We lost power on Wed., just got it back yesterday. Lost all our food..with no way to get to a store near us...so off to Ithaca we went.
Flash flooding thru my yard. It was scary. I will need to call my house insurance on Monday as my insulation under my trailer is ruined and wet..don't want mold growing. Will probably need to replace it all.
Schools around here are closed..many are under water.
Anyone interested..you can go to  www.pressconnects.com and see the damage to Candor and Owego Ny.  I am fortunate that I live on a hill between the two..so flooding here was minimal..but we are stranded. Can now get thru Candor to Ithaca, but cannot get into Owego at all.....if I have school on Monday I will have no idea how to get there. Roads are slowly opening.
I'm tired...going to shower and then maybe a nap.  This has been a very stressful week here in Southern NY...recoup will take months.

   HUGS and prayers to all...

Morning, everyone,

I am here at the lakehouse this morning.  It's a beautiful morning, but I am too miserable to appreciate it.  Like I said yesterday, I haven't had a cold in years, and this one is particularly virulent.  My face is so sore, it feels like somebody punched me a good one.  I barely slept at all last night.  But most of all, I'm so disappointed about not being able to see Benny yet!  Darn it.  But I sure don't want that sweet angel to catch Mimi's cold.

The drive down here was fine, but I did go through several burned areas.  So sad to see.

When I got here, I was unloading the car, and I looked up and there were a dozen deer standing in my driveway.  They remembered me!  Or maybe they just remembered the corn.  I made a quick run to the little local grocery store and bought eggs and milk and DEER CORN.  I put out 25 lbs of it last night and they gobbled it all up.  The twins were out there, plus another fawn--they have gotten so big, but they still have their spots.

So, I won't be doing much today.  Sit in the recliner and watch some DVD's I brought with me.  Maybe make a run to the feed store for more deer corn this afternoon if I feel up to it.

I want to thank everyone for your words of wisdom about the scale yesterday.  I can't imagine what I would do without you gals!!!  You are all so terrific.  Just FYI--I was 201.2 on the scale here this morning.  Now, I promise I'll try my best not to weigh again until next Saturday!

Love you all!
