I miss Debbiejean and her Mindful Eating posts.  I'd read them every day and got so much out of them.  Hope you are doing well Debbiejean.  Just wanted you to know you are missed.

Well thanks Jan, I've been learning a new job at the hospital so haven't had a lot of spare time.

My goal will be go do Mindul Eating post next week.

I've been very good with Mindful Eating, changing shifts and being aware of my eating habits.
I'm trying not to eat when I get home at night which is after midnight.

Also getting my butt back to the gym next week too. BFF and I will be doing Zumba and Butts and Guts classes. That should be fun!

My dogs are back to walking with me daily and it's funny how fast they are catching on to my new schedule.

So every one have a great weekend, it's okay to treat yourself, don't stress out about food, just be aware of your food choices. Try to exercise or at least groove to some music and dance!

 Hi Debbiejean,

Sounds like you are doing great!  I finally found a Zumba class to go to on Sat. mornings with a friend.  It's so much fun.

I've been trying to be mindful of my eating.  I'm making more reasonable choices, elliminated two bad habits of nighttime munching.  Still have issues, but I'm trying. This has been a really tough week.  My hernia has acted up for the third time tonight since last Friday, requiring drugs.  I'm trying to wait until Oct. after Yom Kippur to have the hernia repaired with an LBL and upper thigh lift, but I'm beginning to think I can't wait that long.  I've had it for years, yet now it's suddenly acting up.  On top of that, after the soccer scrimmage on Sat. my son played in, he couldn't walk on Sunday.  We knew he had osteochondritis dessecans, but were hoping it wasn't so bad.  Saw his surgeon on Monday (had an MRI on it a month earlier) and the good news was that it wasn't as bad as his other knee that he had surgery on a year ago.  The cartelidge was still attached and good.  But he needed surgery asap so it wouldn't get worse.  The surgeon had an opening on Wed. and he had surgery yesterday.  So I haven't exercised this week, and with all the stress, I did a lot of comfort eating yesterday.  Which I'm fine with because I don't let it spread beyond one day.  And I know I'm not perfect.  I've been working really hard to embrace the whole me, flaws and all, and not let one poor day of eating become anymore that one day.  But the stress of the whole week has caught up with me today and I haven't been able to focus at work and I'm so tired.  And I think I'm calling my surgeon and moving my surgery up to later this month because I can't live on my kid's pain pills (leftovers from various Crohn's flareups).

Ok, guess I needed to tell someone all this.  Thanks for listening.

I've also missed DebbieJean's posts. I read a number of different websites daily to help me live every day to it's fullest. My second reason I'm here is to offer help to someone with similar problems. I always read DebbieJean's postings that have deep wisdom and strength. Thank you for sharing, and I'm glad to hear you're doing well.
