TERRIBLY SAD DAY HERE

So much sadness this am in our town. One of my coworkers ,  a young 27 year old police officer was shot and in the head and killed while in pursuit of 2 young males .
He saw 2 males walking and stopped to talk to them and they took off running into the neighborhood. As he rounded a corner where they ran behind a house he was shot point blank in the head and passed about later in the afternoon .
Justin was a kind funny loving full of life young man who was loved by so many in the town.
His family are in my prayers and all that loved him. Having lost my son less than 2 years ago, i feel the pain his mom is feeling ..
Pray for all of them if you can ....Life is so fleeting .  He came into work yesterday like we all do , had his lunch plans , his day plan and at about 11;00 it was all gone..
I hope this burns in my memory for a long long time so that I will live my life like each day is the last ..
Hugs and prayers and hoping that all of you have some happiness and joy in your life today .

Shirley, I am so sorry to hear about this terrible thing. We sometimes forget that our police officers go fearlessly into harm's way every day. My prayers are with the family, and everyone whose life he touched!

My prayers to all in your town.  Police officers have a special place in my heart as a close relative is a police officer, who was shot multiple times (and recovered well).  I know his family and mine will be thinking of this officer's family for a long time.

Very sad indeed Shirley, I feel such a sense of sadness reading about this young man, so many of our young men (and women) being killed for no other reason than showing up for work, so many families broken hearted because they've lost a loved one to violent acts, whether police officers, firemen or our soliders. . .  I will pray for peace to eventually find those mothers, sisters, wives, brothers, husbands, fathers, children and friends of those loved ones. . .

Shirley...I am so saddened by your news. Such a huge loss for his family and the whole town. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Way too many young people losing their lives over such senseless acts.
We need to get our country back in some order. Everyone does just as they please. No morals, values, or caring about anyone else. The good people are the ones to lose....so sad!

Love and hugs to you....connie d

Shirley,
I am praying for this young man's family, and your town.  It's so hard to understand the senseless criminal behavior.

Hugs,
Trish

Oh Shirley, I am so sorry. It's never easy even when we think we are prepared but something like this just shakes a person's foundation. I do remind myself daily that life is a "gift" with no guarantees and I try to make the most of it each day. Hugs right back at you.
