I'm thinking of taking a personal day soon ... I could use a "mental health" day after this week and the football tab.

I wish I had the opportunity to take a day off.  I sometimes wish I would have kept my own place here and just came on a as needed basis. Oh well....can't afford it anyway. Enjoy your day off!!

Good Morning Eileen,
Hope your headache is gone.  I woke up with one this morning as well.  We got a huge thunderstorm this morning, which hopefully took my headache with it.

I am late posting because I overslept and had to walk Utley before my AA meeting.  After my meeting, I had errands to run.  Gas in the car, groceries, post office to drop off a package, and the bank to make a deposit.  I tried to post when I got home, but Utley was afraid of the thunder, so I had to give him some laptime.

This afternoon, I have no energy, but I have to accomplish something.  So, I will steam the head of cabbage my Mom sent down from the garden she and her beau have grown.  I will make stuffed cabbage either tonight, or tomorrow morning.  The steaming takes forever, because I can't rip the leaves, or it makes rolling difficult.

Hi, OFF friends,

    I am sorry I have been MIA.  I have missed y'all.  Life has been very hectic between vacation, jury duty, MD appts. and a conference.  Yes, I had jury duty for two weeks!  It was a bank robbery trial and was pretty interesting.  I had never served on a jury duty before and I found the process fascinating.  I did have to use my own vacation time to serve, but luckily I have plenty.

   Yesterday, I did my preop admit stuff at the hospital.Today, I have my preop visit with the surgeon, and then I am ready to go on Monday.

   I am excited, but also thinking, "What am I doing?"  It is such a drastic change in lifestyle and I am slighty scared.  You all have been so great in sharing your experience and encouragement.  Thank you so much.

Sharon you hang in there!!! Sure you are scared but then you will have a new and wonderful life ahead of you after this surgery!!! So hang on its a wild ride!!!! Don't forget to pack the chap stick and remember to sip sip sip and walk walk walk!!!

Deep breath, Sharon!  You can do this.  I'm 6 months out, down 70 pounds, and couldn't be happier.  This will be you by next Feb, so hang in there!

Sharon, it is a big change, but it's a good change. I was so ready for it, I gave away all my junk food to my coworkers. You should have seen the food go ... boy, everyone was so excited. I even practiced drinking protein shakes for two weeks before the two week preop diet. I did Slim-Fast for that. I was ready to make the change I needed to make.

It was the best decision I've ever made.
